does anyone know if its common for people with a 32 act to be accepted REA? or is it really only with people with high test scores?
So when are we guessing it will come out? And whats the reasoning behind it? I know it has to be by next Thursday latest but I donât know when itâll be. Maybe over the weekend? Or is that too unlikely?
My dadâs friend in the development said that admissions is done deciding and theyâre just sitting on the decisions. I think itâll probably be Friday I canât imagine theyâd wait a whole other weekend after deciding everything.

@agmartinez really??? What do they gain by âsittingâ on them?
driving us all crazy!
@FirstGenLife thatâs why I posted what I posted
They gain nothing by waiting on them. I think in past years theyâve released them mid week and then people bombard them with phone calls and they might be trying to avoid that this year? Iâm not sure
Also my counselor called today and they said by the end of this week I highly doubt the waiting game will go into next week.
So would tomorrow be fair game? Everybody ready to repeat tonight tomorrow?
Who has said that it will definitely be this Friday???
@agmartinez Just some feeder school counselors were saying it is going to be Friday
@doctorunusual NOOOOOOOO!! Iâm just the mom. I canât imagine what is going through my Dâs head.
My daughterâs friend asked their counselor today if today is the day and she just said ânot today.â She didnât give any more info (if she has it)!
As for Friday, and independent college counselor I know does not have any inside info on ND, but did say that some schools are moving to Friday decision days to give kids the weekend to process the information (if itâs bad news) and also to give the angry parents some time to cool down before they start bombarding the admissions office with phone calls.
I can verify for Friday! (I have relatives that work at ND)
@anestler thank you!
In a way, REA decisions coming a few days later than in previous years should not come as too much of a surprise to all of us following this forum over the last few weeks. There have been quite a few indicators that this may happen, which we all have discussed together in great detail. While current circumstances certainly are stressful, the arrival of decisions will also result in great turmoil over the coming days, weeks if not months for many. Ultimately everyone will find the college they look forward to attending, yet this process is not always an easy or straight forward one. Best of luck and success to All!
@hpcsa I know weâve been following it since basically the beginning but I canât remember what the indicators are?
@HM0527 yes, we spoke together about the rumored increase of ND REA application numbers, rumors about increased workload of office of admissions team, several students posting about GC calls with ND Admissions scheduled for Friday, others suggesting that REA D Day will be Friday instead of Wednesday etc etc.
The more important point I was trying to make, though, was that college application and decision season is much more of a marathon than a short distance sprint. Many of us havenât even completed the first third of this marathon yet, so letâs manage energy reserves in order to be able to complete the race!
