that’s allowed

I got accepted as well! I’m beyond overjoyed; ND is my top choice!

My stats:

  • 1590 SAT (800 Math)
  • 4.0 UW, 4.5 W GPA, top 1% of class
  • 10 AP (5 senior year)
  • 4s and 5s on all AP tests
  • Great essays
  • 3-year officer of academic club
  • Leader of community service project
  • Member of theatre company with positions ranging from cast to student director & directed small show
  • Four-year member of music ensemble, has pursued both in-class and extracurricular options
  • Member of 5+ other extracurriculars including NHS and International Thespian Society
  • Multiple academic awards and some for theatre
  • Solid recommendation, I would guess
  • Summer Scholars Alum

I intend to major in Political Science with Global Affairs as a supplementary major. I’m considering minoring in Peace Studies or English.

My daughter was accepted! We are so, so happy. Our son is a 2016 grad and this is our daughter’s dream school. Probably engineering or math

But I just want to send a word of encouragement and support to those of you who are feeling disappointment tonight. That is hard and give yourself time to feel sad. But I’m confident the right school will come along for you and you will find your place.

Go Irish and Go Class of 25!

I got offered admission thru the Gateway Program… anyone else? Thankful it’s not a rejection but not the plan I intended, if anyone has experience w it or advice I would really appreciate it

No personal experience, but know of a student who entered ND through the Gateway Program. It worked for him and he loves ND. My understanding is that it is a small program offered to a limited number of applicants. I would think you need to consider how much attending ND means to you. I am fairly certain that many reading this board right now would jump at the chance if offered. Take some time and think about it.

Hi, please post how many of you are legacy. I would like to see a true number since ND does not release that. I just want to know if it is worthwhile for my child to apply as it seems like the hook is legacy or student athlete. Thank you

My son was accepted to Mendoza. We are so grateful and excited. He was accepted to McCombs UT Business last Thursday so we have a very tough decision. Does anyone know when financial aid comes out?

Accepted!!
South Florida public school
SAT: 1540 (EBRW: 740, Math: 800)
ACT: 35
GPA: 3.98 UW, 5.65 W (out of 6.0)
20 APs, 10 AICE, 3 Dual Enrollment courses (My school is insane this is normal here.)
Rank: 2/888
National Merit Semifinalist
Bunch of STEM and political ECs with some leadership positions
Not a legacy
Major: Civil Engineering

Does anyone know when we might get our financial aid packages? The website says early March but was hoping it might be earlier than that.

My son isn’t a legacy, we both we to UT Austin.

Just wanted to put it out there that it can be a great path. Not hugely familiar with that program (know what it is but no real experience with it) but daughter initially was rejected from Navy (her top choice). Appealed and was offered a Prep school spot. She had a full NROTC scholarship to Purdue so it was hard, but ultimately it was the perfect path for her. Sometimes these opportunities are there for a reason taht you may not understand yet. Daughter initially felt like ‘I don’t need further prep” but the extra year of maturity and having an alternate path to her dream was perfect in every way. Congratulations on the acceptance.

Hi! I got accepted, and I am neither a legacy student nor a student athlete. (The rest of my stats are above if they are of any interest.)

If your child is interested in ND, I would most definitely encourage them to apply.

I wish your child good luck!
