Notre Dame EA Class of 2020

@ilhistorygeek Thanks! Please keep me posted! Good luck though it sounds like you won’t need it

did anyone receive a handwritten card/letter/note in their welcome packet?

Only Bob Mundy’s signature was (electronically) handwritten.

I received a seperate hand written note in the mail today from my admission counselor (received my actual admission packet two days ago)! Has anyone received anything about Glen Hobors Program or Reilley Visit Program?

if you go back a year and check when the Glynn and Reilley posts start happening, it’ll give you a good idea about when things were sent a year ago. I think that the programs are established enough to have a consistent date year to year.

For those of you haven’t seen this yet, it’s the basic information of the REA admits of 2020. Unfortunately, it doesn’t include average scores, but at least it shows how many were admitted:

@orlfllhp Reilly weekend invites came out today in Illinois. Good luck to everyone hoping for one!

does anyone know the percentage of deferred students who end up getting accepted? just curious.

Did anyone else receive a Christmas card from their admissions rep today? I also got a generic one from the school.

@gm0321 A card came in with my welcome packet. It’s a pretty personal note from my admissions rep. How about yours?

Same! It didn’t come in my packet, my counselor mailed it separately and he cited a few things from my application. I think its pretty awesome the ND does this. Makes me love the school even more! But the one from the school itself was pretty generic wishing happy holidays and whatnot but still very sweet. @happysenior16

So far I’ve only received the generic holiday card from Bob Mundy. Should I be expecting more mail?

With your record, you should have been clearly accepted. I doubt it would help, but i would have your guidance counselor put a call into the regional officer and have them check your application. 34 ACT. something isn’t right. best of luck in life. I was rejected from ND a long time ago as well, but my grades weren’t up to par like yours.

I agree. good summary of what it probably takes for an unhooked white kid.

I got my invite to the Reilly Program yesterday for anyone who was wondering!

Where do you live?

South Dakota. It came yesterday and was dated later than the admissions letter but I got both packets at the same time

@fiona1997 It sound like you probably had a great essay and I think that is what really helped my daughter. Her gpa is is 4.146. She is in NHS, cheerleading, Thespian club, speech, show choir, chamber and concert choir. So looking at some of the others information I really believe her essay helped get her accepted. No hooks.

@ND2020Mom Thank you! Getting into ND is kind of a matter of luck I feel… I think I have really great EC’s… my SAT scores have been improved. I have 1950 on the SAT after “superscore” 530 on reading (really bad, it’s killing me) 800 on math, and 620 on writing. My scores are so not impressive… I really wish they will like my essay.

So do you think any more Reilly invitations will be coming out - in, say, Virginia?
