Notre Dame EA decision announcement date

does that mean they will be sending letters out on the 17th, or that letters will start arriving after the 17th (meaning they will send the letters out before then)? thanks for calling!

not sure, they didn’t say… they were very curt, Im sure theyve gotten a lot of calls asking

Find out after the 17th probably means we will receive them by then. This also adheres to the schedule that they had done in the last years.

I got my letter today… ACCEPTED!!! The letter said that they send the acceptance letters first so the acceptance letters should all be received by tomorrow. Good luck everyone!

@illinois96 can you please post stats? also where u are located

I’m assuming he’s located in Illinois because of his username. Congratulations!!

I got the letter today too, I got accepted too. The last line of the letter said, “Despite the website saying the letters will come out later, acceptance letters are sent out earlier than rejection letters so all acceptance letters will be received by Friday, December 13th.” Cross your fingers that you’ll get the letter tomorrow!

Thanks for updating this!!!

omg this is horribly stressful

I really want to not believe the two informers

also because they both have like 0 posts

^ I agree this is terribly stressful. To top it all off I got a deferral today

illinois96, where in Illinois (assuming you live there based on your username) do you live? I live in Chicago, but my mail doesn’t come until 5:00 or so.

I’m not expecting anything necessarily but I’m a little surprised they’re out this early! Georgetown14 where did you get deferred today? And dw I’m sure you will be getting accepted anydaynow!

where are the people who got their letters located? Ahhh I’m freaking out!

okay illinois96 I went through your (2) posts and the other is on a Stanford REA thread. YOU CAN’T APPLY TO BOTH THERE AND ND that’s so illegal

I’m calling their bluffs

Everyone calm down: I just spoke to the admissions office at Notre Dame (very nice lady) who said that the letters won’t even be mailed until the middle of next week.

And to the two posters who claimed to get a letter (and that acceptances would be out by tomorrow), shame on you. Some people actually take this process seriously. To sign up for this forum just to make people more nervous is lousy. You must have nothing better to do.

Everyone else, take a breath…and good luck!!

Why is it illegal to apply to Stanford and ND?

Also: keep an eye on ND admissions on Twitter. They will post a message with a picture when the letters are in the mail. :)

My S is so stressed !! Do you know if international students will receive email before or after the snail mail letters begin ?

Thanks for taking the time to correct misleading posts !!

@SuzysMom how do you know they will do this? Just trying to get all the info I can :)

Hi, Kiwi1995  I don’t know about international students – in the past, I believe they have received an email about a day or so sooner than the snail mail, but don’t quote me. Definitely call if you want to know – the lady I spoke to was very nice and helpful. I think the admissions folks realize everyone is one edge and are pretty understanding about it.

And, yes…I don’t mind honest misunderstandings: we are all here to help each other, and we sometimes get facts wrong. But to purposefully try to work someone up about this is so wrong. Can you imagine all the kids who would potentially be devastated if they didn’t get a letter tomorrow? So wrong…
