Hi I know that Notre Dame on their website says that financial aid for early applicants comes out this month (February). Has anyone heard anything yet? When has it come out in past years?
@14erind - I recommend calling the Financial Aid office. They are very friendly and will do their best to help. I am not sure when the FAL has come out in past years.
They come rolling out gradually. My son got his April 1. They will all be out by the May 1 decision deadline.
Financial aid for accepted early applicants will be released in late February (by March 1st at the latest), per the financial aid website and ND’s admissions website.
I also read accepted REA applicants are notified the end of February. However, at the College of Science and College Engineering Open House this last weekend, the financial aid office said that accepted REA applicant notifications will be rolled out and everyone should know in the beginning of March.
Has anyone received an email from the financial aid office yet? Just wondering if the rollout has started
Nothing here yet.
Will they send emails to the student and parent? Will the portal be updated with the financial aid package as well?
I was looking at CSS profile and for ND it reads “2/26/2020” under award date. Does that really mean anything timing wise?
Obviously we are anxiously waiting the aid package. I ran the NPC and am hoping it is at least close.
Have any REA accepted students received their financial aid notification yet? I was hoping they would be out today, but we have not heard anything yet.
Nothing here. Website still reads end of February, but I heard that at early accepted student days they were told the week of March 1st.
Nothing here yet either.
Anyone receive their aid information yet?
Nothing here yet.
Still nothing
nothing
Nothing yet…
Last year FAN’s for REA Admits arrived on or around March 8, 2019, the year before around March 5, 2018 , hence they will most likely be sent out some time this week/no later than beginning of next week.
Waiting not so patiently
@spark777 It is understandable that families are looking forward to detailed FAN information from their student’s EA admission, yet in reality in most cases there is no rush at all, as RD admission decisions and respective FA information - available some time later in March - are really required for comparison and subsequent decision making to truly begin. This consideration of course applies both to merit and need-based financial aid.
@hpcsa Notre Dame’s REA calendar indicated that financial aid notices would be issued in February, hence the eagerness.
