Notre Dame Leadership Seminar 2016!!

Just got the confirmation link for my first choice in Science and ethics!! So excited to meet everyone!

Would you guys mind sharing your stats?

I was so so nervous for the portal decisions, but so happy I got into Science and Ethics! Can’t wait to meet you all!

Hey guys! Just wanted to let everyone know I started a Twitter List for all those attending this year! It’s private, so if you’d like be added, just follow me on Twitter @jessica_moore52 and I’ll add you the group! Can’t wait get to know everyone a little better, and felt like Twitter may be an easier medium for some than FB!

In terms of stats, I feel a little low in comparison to others that got in:
3.8/4.1 GPA
22/456 class rank
Rigorous HS
On track for 13 APs by graduation
1320 new PSAT score
Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 3 year finalist and 4th place winner in biomedical sciences
Student researcher at Emory
Founded Teens Turning Green Community Charter
Work a job, along with tons of EC’s
But I think diversity is really what nailed me in:
I have a physical disability, have been raised by a single parent and am considered low income, and am a sexual assault survivor (maybe TMI, but it went in my application, so I’m sure it weighed in to my acceptance somehow!)
Honestly was really surprised I got in!

I GOT IN!!! I’m shaking and almost crying. I’m so excited to meet you all!

Rejected. No link.

Holy crap, i got in! My first choice - Science and Ethics!

Here are my stats again!

ACT: 36
PSAT: 1450
GPA: 4.0/4.0 unweighted
Ranking: 8/760
AP: 5 on Calc BC and currently in APUSH, English, Computer Science, Chemistry, and Physics 1
EC: a lot of leadership roles in school, soccer, some job experience as a tutor and soccer referee, debate, average volunteering hours

I think what really helped me were my essays, which included a lot of my diversity (first generation immigrant).

@TheAmazing777 Wow. You really assume a lot of things. First, you used the wrong pronoun. It is a ‘he’.
And, even though I posted at 3, saw the change 3 hours before I posted. That makes it 12:00 AM in the US.
Congratulations @nerdbregade @kitkat231 @HopkinsHopeful @stressedout18 @guy1234 @garbanzo1 (to your son) @escapade @chcc99

I am in Science and Ethics.
I know @nerdbregade and @kitkat231 are in Science and Ethics.
Everyone selected, can you all just mention where you got in?

P.S: I know if I turn out to be the only International in Science and Ethics, my cover here would be blown. Still, I would like to connect with all I would be meeting this July.

My daughter got in. Global issues. She’s very excited.

Excited to meet you, @11kysta! Being honest, when I saw your stats for your acceptance I got SO nervous! See you this summer!

@nerdbregade Sent you a message on twitter. Do check out.

Haha. Your stats are great too!

Didn’t get my first choice

@nitro11 What did you get? And would you mind posting your stats?

2nd choice was Boulder Running Camp

Have Fun for those attending

Congratulations @nitro11.

My daughter from Michigan got into the American Arts, Pop Culture & Social Change seminar.

What exactly does the portal say or look like if you’re accepted? Can somebody send me a screenshot?

Mine hasn’t changed and I’m afraid I was rejected…
