Other schools that I've applied to:
I've been accepted by Ohio State (Scholarship) and Penn State- University Park. I have also applied to the Honors Colleges at both of these schools. I also applied early action at the University of Michigan and Miami of Ohio, but have yet to hear from either of them. I like my chances at both of these schools as well, but don't anticipate any merit money from U of M. All of these schools have strong undergrad accounting programs.

Notre Dame is my reach school. The Mendoza School of Business at Notre Dame is outstanding and offers a top 5 undergraduate accounting program. It seems like the perfect fit for me as I've heard that it is a school full of "smart jocks". I'm Catholic as well and would appreciate the religious aspect of Notre Dame, of which none of my other schools can offer.

Seeking honest feedback, do I have a shot? Especially going the RD route? Thanks in advance for the anticipated feedback.

Are you an Ohio resident? I won’t make a prediction about your chances, but my son had better stats (35 ACT, 2250 / 1530 SAT, 2/124 - #1 was accepted at ND EA, NMSF ) and was deferred EA.
Notre Dame values community service and leadership more than anything else. Your ACT scores are good enough to where they won’t hurt you. As long as you highlighted your youth mentoring in your application and/or being captain of your basketball team, I believe you have a pretty good chance as long as your essays are up to par.
I applied RD as well and am nervous/excited to hear…
I read Fr. Ted’s book over the summer and he talks about the Notre Dame Admissions process. In the book it said that they would rather have students apply RD if they believe they can add something valuable to their application with the extra time. He states, and I confirmed with an admissions councilor, that the University does not have a preference as to which methods students use to apply-ERD or RD. The only difference between the two is that the first pool is more competitive with less applicants and the second is not quite as competitive but with a larger amount of applicants-many have said this is the best way to apply.
Does anyone know when we will hear back from ND? All my friends are hearing back from the colleges they have applied to, and I just cannot wait to hear from Notre Dame.
I think that you’ve got some solid chances. From what I know about Notre Dame, your chances are great! I don’t know why you would say this is a reach? Good luck!
Thank you very much for your replies. Wondering if anyone has heard back from them yet; we are getting really late into the decision making process. Additionally, how can we further update them? I’d like to update them on my first semester grades and some additional athletic conference recognition that I received in football and basketball.
When will the result come out for international students? Many says its before April. 10th. Official website says that there will be an email telling the admission decision on the day the paper form decision being mailed… Who knows how many days earlier will the decision be mailed for international students?
