Notre Dame Rescind Policy- general and Mendoza

So I currently am FIGHTING for a B in AP Calc. If this grade slips to a C+ (as it may with a tough semester final) will my Mendoza seat be at risk or my seat at ND in general? I was just accepted and I have a seat for sophomore year.

No it will not.

I’m also a current high school senior, so take what I say with a grain of salt. In most cases, one C during your senior year won’t kill you. But you might want to give them a call because a C in a math course while applying for their business school is kinda ehh to me. Though, in most cases, no, it won’t get you rescinded. I also got pre-admited to Mendoza, so I may or may not see you in the future! Gl.

There are threads about this, and no, a single C won’t mean anything. But I would stress working your butt off for that class, placing out of AP courses where you can will really free up your schedule in the future. I think ND’s policy is 2C’s or 1 D and you’ll have to explain the grades, but they definitely expect some slip as senioritis creeps in.

Well… I just found out that I got a B in AP Calc… I didn’t apply to Mendoza but I applied International Economics major… My 800 on SAT could be a saving grace I guess… :frowning:

@Fiona1997 Got a B in AP Calc BC and a 1 on the AP test and here I am about to start my second semester at ND, you’ll be fine

as I said last time, unless you get 2 C’s or 1 D, no one will ever know that it happened. It’s simply not something to worry about. However, I would try to place out of Physics if you can, it’s a pretty rigorous course at ND that usually pulls people’s GPA’s down.

So my intend major has nothing to do with engineering but I’m having engineering at school now because I wanted to challenge myself… I’m the only girl in that class… now it is killing me. Last quarter I got an A-, this quarter I’ll probably have a B+. It will make my transcript really ugly… I already got a B in AP Calc…

I was there two years ago, and I know how frustrating it can be to do not as well as you have for the last 3+ years. But remember that if you’ve already been accepted, YOU’RE IN. Short of doing really poorly, you’re fine. a B and a B+ are totally fine. Focus on your AP classes so you can get credit for them. Do what interests you. Don’t let grades get in the way of your education. Unless you’re getting multiple C’s or a D you have nothing to worry about.

@IliketoFence no I haven’t been accepted… I applied RD. I don’t know why I am not doing well this year… probably I’ve paid too much attention on the SAT’s and essays and being over stressed?.. ehh…

Oh my bad I thought you had said you had already been accepted… I understand better now. a B+ and a B isn’t terrible, especially if it’s in difficult classes. At this point, there isn’t much you can do, so I’d try not to sweat it and just focusing on keeping up next quarter.
