@sbe2934 I didn’t get one either. Hope it doesn’t mean anything bad.
@AnonymousND Maybe I’m just being optimistic, but I don’t think we can just assume that. Out of all of the people posting on this thread, only 2 got the line. What are the chances of that? CC is comprised of some of the most qualified students applying…
That’s very true, but if you look at all the other acceptance threads for Notre Dame, it’s kind of random
@sbe2934 I didn’t get one either, but your profile is impressive, so I would be surprised if you didn’t get in.
For the people saying that this line isn’t on their portal and worrying, how do you know it wasn’t simply removed before you checked? Two years ago the decision wasn’t text on the portal page, there was another link you had to click to see the decision letter. I don’t think they are going to put any text on the portal login page that would tip you off to the decision.
I would have to agree that the transcript line that disappeared probably means nothing, given the caliber of applicants on this site. As a matter of fact, I might assume just the opposite: that the line is bad since only 2 people so far got it. IDK.
I feel like everyone is just anxious and nervous for the decisions to come online, so we all need to calm down and wait for Monday (hopefully that’s when they’re released), and hopefully we all get in.
I have to agree with @Barcelona97531 and @VegasRoller. I find it hard to believe that the transcript line is anything more than a glitch; however, I can’t help becoming more anxious about decisions coming out in the near future. Hoping for the best for everyone!
I agree with @Barcelona97531 but if we are still speculating, I would think that the line means deferral because they will want your seventh semester report as soon as possible to help make a final decision, whereas if you are accepted they probably wouldn’t care about your grades unless you actually commit there. (BTW I did not get “the line”)
@ak9800 What you bring up about wanting them after committing is a very good point, I agree with your logic; it is either that, or a glitch. Also, I didn’t get the line either.
I agree with the deferral logic, however, “the line” could just be a clever troll.
I guess I agree. Maybe it was on briefly and most of us just didn’t see it
@DDHH2017 I don’t know I setup my portal right when it was available to me so I would have seen it if it was there
First post here. I applied REA for Notre Dame and didn’t get “the line” either.
Here’s my input. My friend also applied REA. He has a 35 ACT, 4.6X GPA, 6 AP’s senior year, Eagle Scout, Legacy, 800+ Service Hours, brother goes to ND, knows regional AO personally through his sister… literally the perfect ND prospect. He didn’t get the line either. I don’t think people should be too stressed about this. I’m personally nervous about it too but it’s most likely not a straight up rejection if you don’t have it.
Good luck everyone!
@Barcelona97531 Yeah but maybe it wasn’t up immediately
I didn’t get the line either. I think people are reading too deep into it. Looking forward to Monday!
100% agree^^^
100% agree ^^
Good luck to everyone! I didn’t get the line, and there’s no telling what it actually means for those who did/didn’t receive it. Only three more days to go before we find out!! (Hopefully)
