Hey. I've been looking around for a thread on this and couldn't find one. The deadline is on Thursday, and I've been working on my application for the last few days. Transferring from a Cali community college GPA-3.6 Major-Econ. Any other fellow applicants or people who know anything about the process?
P.S I don't mind if it's discouraging.

Hi, son also applying to ND as a sophomore transfer. Odd that there wasn’t an existing thread before this one, huh? Maybe that’s a good sign and not too many are applying :)

Their transfer acceptance rate hovers @30-35% so it’s better than most. From reading past threads and through their own website, it seems that a strict adherence to ND’s First Year of Studies Program is highly recommended for transfers - probably in an effort to have everyone graduate in four years.

Your gpa looks solid (although ND says their average accepted transfer gpa is currently @3.7). I wish you the best of luck finishing your essay and hope you get a positive nod from ND!

I agree with myoneandonly, your chances seem good; I’m applying from a TX CC; Major-Biology
I think last year there were 600 applicants, according to somewhere on the ND website.

Good luck!

Did anyone have their completed application status disappear from the application menu? Mine just disappeared, I can’t find the link. Is this supposed to happen?

Just tried getting into my app to check for some sort of status and now can’t even do that – when I type in user name/password, a brand new application comes up. I have nothing about “completed application status” or anything. Called the Admissions Office yesterday to see if anything was missing but they said they haven’t “processed” everything and will notify if anything is missing.

According to the website, 444 applied for transfer last year and 152 were admitted. Out of that 152, 118 accepted the offer.

Crap, I guess I read something else, I wasn’t even close ://
Oh and the link’s not exactly called “completed application” status; I was referring to a link that appeared under the “New” link but above the “UPDATE ME” link that appeared after you submitted your app; but I’m glad it’s not anything big. The wait begins!
