Has anyone been? If so, what was your experience like?

I haven’t been, but I’ll be a mentor this year.

One word: Go.

Lol I hope I can! I’m going to wait to see if I can get accepted. If I do, then I’ll go the summer of 2014 so that I can get the pre college experience before I enter in the fall of 2014

I went the summer before my senior year- it was amazing! I definitely recommend it, especially if you are leaning towards Notre Dame! If you have specific questions feel free to ask! :)

Thank you girl!! I’ll PM you!

Ballerinawriter- I’ve been looking at the website and I was just wondering of you could tell me more about what you guys do over the course of the week. I want to know more about it from a students point of view before I decide if I should apply!

Yeah! What melr116 said! I’d like to know more info as well

I’m assuming you’re Catholic if you’re considering attending. (Sometimes they tell people to apply just because they didn’t get accepted to Summer Scholars, which isn’t based on whether you’re Catholic or not.) Anyways, I went to Vision last summer and it was honestly one of the best weeks of my life. I HIGHLY recommend it. You attend Mass, listen to speakers, and spend time with your small group for most of the week. The people there are amazing. I got to know a few of the mentors really well and I still talk to them. I also talk to other members of my small group regularly. You also get to go to adoration and confession. It’s just an amazing experience. Best retreat I’ve ever been to by far, and I have attended many retreats. I’m hoping to return this summer, but I’m not sure if I can yet. You also do a lot of fun group games and stuff, and the food is amazing! Definitely go if you have the chance!

Aw yay! Thanks. Yes, I am catholic. Sounds like something amazing already. I don’t have the money for this summer but I’m planning to attend it next summer. It’ll be great if I get into ND, that way it can be a precollege experience too.!

Yeah, it really makes you fall in love with the school! Whether I go this year or not is sort of contingent on my admissions decision as well…

Oh okay. Thanks!

No problem! Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions about what the program is like! :)
