Notre Dame vs. Georgetown

<p>I realllly like both colleges but its so hard to decide what one is a better fit for me!! Both of their academics are at a high level and I would say pretty equal in that arena.</p>

<p>Pros of Notre Dame:
LOTS of school spirit which is really important for me
football is awesome
great facilities and alumni network is great especially for jobs
top business program which is what I am thinking of majoring in</p>

<p>Cons for ND:
the weather sucks
the location is awful and in the middle of nowhere, bad for internships although Chicago is like an hour away but still
parietals and strict rules: would it still be fun/have a party atmosphere?</p>

<p>Pros of Gtown:
love love LOVE DC, great location & good for internships
great international business and brand new building/facilities
compact campus
spirit for the hoyas, esp. in basketball</p>

<p>Cons:
not as good of a business program as ND, still up and coming
not as much spirit
how are the parties??</p>

<p>let me know what college you think I would fit bettter at! Financial aid isn't really an issue.</p>

<p>Both are great schools. For full disclosure my S and H went to ND. But you are not the only one to come down to these two schools in the selection process (in fact my H had the same decision many years ago). I’d try to visit the two schools and consider where you want to spend the next four years (DC or South Bend), where you feel most comfortable with the students etc. and choose accordingly. </p>

<p>Have you considered other factors like distance from home or extracurriculars?</p>

<p>Gtown is, in my experience, very liberal and has very little emphasis on faith. If you can put up with that, then I would definitely pick Gtown over ND. However, they are both excellent schools and there is no wrong answer. Good luck!
