Notre Dame Vs Michigan

Its Never To Early To Start Thinking About Next Weeks Game..
It'll Be A Tough One.....but I Hope/expect Us To Win
Predictions/thoughts... Lets Hear It

early line is ND -8.5. I think it is going to be a tough game, but one I definitely think we can win after seeing us against PSU

Yeah definitely. we decimated jo pa. even though hes not the real coach b/c he's dead, according to the dillon pep rally. lol.

Lol, that Dillion pep rally was hilarious. I loved the bit with "John Jenkins, ND president"..."I can build any building I want!" Anyway, besides that, I have nothing relevant to add, lol. I have too much philosophy homework to study my "Football for Dummies" book...

As an ND student I am obviously biased, but when discussing sports, I try to be objective b/c I want a career in it someday and that's a requirement for success in the industry. Honestly, after seeing ND handle a formidable Top 20 opponent, if they play like they are capable of playing, they'll go into the Coliseum on Nov. 25 undefeated.

Haha it's not a requirement. Mark May made it. It will be tough with Michigans new aggressive defensive coordinator. This needs to be twice as good of a performance as Penn State, no joke. Michigan should be for real this year.

I was watching "PARDON THE INTERUPTION" today and there was a segment on who had the better fight song.. Michigan or ND. Personally, my obvious choice is ND, which is confirmed every time someone calls me...as the Notre Dame Victory March is my ring tone...... without biases tho....which one is better?

Well, the last three years we have won against Michigan...their fight song is "Hail To The Victors" so I guess technically both fight songs are ours. Therefore, ours is better.

hahahahhahhhahahahahahahahahhaahhaha well put

9-11 never forget
If you haven't seeen this film..i'd recomend it-- http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7866929448192753501&q=loose+change

Obviously Notre Dame. The Michigan fight song was written in South Bend. Notre Dame definitely one ups Michigan when it comes to music.

Michigan doesn't have recent history on its side.

Coach Carr, QB Henne, and RB Hart are a combined 0-6 in games against ND and OSU. They simply don't come through in the clutch. Carr has a history of becoming extremely conservative with the game plan at ND Stadium.

ND rides Quinn and the horses up front to victory.

ND 35, Michigan 24

Good luck to you guys against Michigan...

Uhoh, Notre Dame's in trouble.

20-7 Michigan

Pizzahutt, Henne and Hart have only played Notre Dame and OSU twice each. Yes, they are 0-4 against them, but all 4 of those games were close and could have gone either way. Obviously, today's game was similar to the 2003 blowout. As for Carr, he is now 4-4 against Notre Dame, 6-5 vs OSU, 16-6 (0.730) vs top 10 teams and 8-2 (0.800) vs top 5 teams (the latter two stats are NCAA records)...so clearly, Carr does come through in the clutch. Even on the road, Carr does well, going 6-2 (0.750) vs top 10 teams and 4-1 (0.800) vs top 5 teams on the road.

There goes the national championship

go michigan

Naw, we never had it. This today was a game against a very good team and it showed we don't deserve that and Brady isn't a Heisman Contender.

Brady can feel some consolation in know that the facebook "Brady Quinn is a Sexy Beast" club still grows by the day... :)

Seriously, talk that Quinn has somehow stumbled into the cellar of college football QB's is as reactionary as the early Heismann hype. There are still 9 games, plus a goal to go. If the only goal in college football were to win the National Championships, virtually the entire NCAA save a handful of teams would hang up their cleats before October every year...

Character does not rest in never falling, but in how well one gets back up and gets in the game.

Go Irish!

Very good point, and I hope this team does step up next week and send a message. What worried me though was what I saw yesterday. Watching them on the sidelines and watching body language you could tell that they just gave up, including Brady. That bothers me. I think Brady has the talent for the Heisman, and still has a shot, but he has to pull this team up and show he has the will.

I honestly think the team just got too used to being loved and being celebrities, especially Brady and Jeff Samardzjia (I think that is how you spell it, I am too lazy to check right now).

Brady has happy feet.

The corners aren't fast enough.

The safeties can't make up for the corners.

Darius can't take pressure off of Brady.

The linebackers are slow.

The receivers can't separate.

Zibby can't get a return.

The sophomore and junior classes are not good at all.

The freshmen are too young to make up for that.

Ty's recruiting screwed us.

There isn't as much emotion as last year.

The Oline is too inconsistant.

The Dline cant put on enough pressure.

Carlson isn't enough.

One rushing yard vs Michigan.

Michigan State is a must win. If we can beat them, then we should only have one loss going into USC. By then hopefully ^^all these^^ problems will be fixed. If not, it's hello Gator Bowl. By the way, it's Samardzija.
