Lots of momentum after beating those flag planting Spartans............
Will Purdue present a challenge to the rejuvenated Irish?

Thoughts/Predictions

This worries me a bit, Purdue always plays us hard (well, minus last year) and we are coming off a great game where it would be easy to have a letdown. However, we are playing at home and I think that the Michigan State game did give this team new life. I like the Irish.

psh there isnt even a question of who will win.

They are possibly the worst 4-0 team of all time. Coming outta homecoming weekend, they are not expecting the smack in the face that we are about to give them.

They thrive off of long drives and momentum. If we get a turnover early, I say we win by more than 30.

Its at home.....
That is huge
If our secondary can play like it did in the 4th quarter against msu...then we will win by atleast 30
But....I really want to see how Brady performs this week... this game could get him back into the heisman race............slow down those feet!

Got a question on time?
I've heard conflicting reports....my newspaper......and then I was watching the news and it was like an hour earlier than what the newspaper said

To avoid different time zone issues...can someone give me the kick off time in South Bend... thanks

My football ticket says 2:30 FWIW

Thanks

"My.... ticket....."-- man .. i sure would like to say that

with any luck it won't be long. BTW, thanks for referring the person from the BC boards over, I just saw it was you :)

Haha.. no problem....
I didn't have the answer...but I knew you would

Don't know if you know, but you gotta factor in that Indiana doesn't use daylight savings. Kickoff is 1:30 central time.

Indiana DOES use daylight savings now. Just changed last spring.

Yep, ND is now Eastern all the time. However, I believe it still would be a 1:30 kickoff CST since we are EST.

What channel can I watch the game on?

ND home game so your local NBC affiliate. Ahh, I love ND, always on (pretty much).

Thanks irish. I'll be watching!

Seriously? Wow news to me. Alright well 30 minutes to gametime.

Irish, you've gotten more conservative in your game predictions--a bit spooked by the MSU experience, maybe? Not to worry, the Irish have been through one of those trials that builds a chemistry into a team that can't be gotten any other way. They will come out breathing fire, and Purdue will come to regret being the unfortunate squad that has to come to South Bend at this particular part of the season.

I say Notre Dame by at least 18; ND puts at least 40 points on the board.

And, if I'm wrong...well, then I'm wrong.

In the meantime, I have to go coach my 9 year-old son's soccer game--the Blue Lightning (nine year-old boys are always Lightning, Thunder or Devils, for some reason). Kickoff 2:15 CST--means we'll be heading home to catch the very final minutes of the Irish game.

The Irish and Quinn are having a big game so far
35-14 right now...
weather is gettn a little shakey tho...

Okay, so the spread ended up to be just 14 and the Irish didn't crack the 40 mark. A "W" is a "W", and 5-1 with the Irish schedule so far is pretty impressive. I'm thinking BCS bowl bid?
