Notre Dame vs. UVa

Any thoughts?

I've basically grown up with UVa my whole life (both my parents went there), but I'm definitely considering Notre Dame.

Just let me know if you have any important opinions.

Thanks

If you're in-state... UVa is definitely a great deal... but Notre Dame is still an awesome opportunity. If you are out-of-state I would say ND is almost a no-brainer (but my bias here is pretty big, haha).

I have no idea if it is true but I heard back when I applied (2003) that the Virginia schools were having their funding cut drastically and that was having an effect on them. I have no idea if this is the case, but I thought I would pass it along. Both are very very good schools but I would go ND. I am BIASED, but that is what I would do at least (tell us more about what you are looking for and what is important to you and we can help more). With ND it is more than just an education, it is a family and campus is more than where you go to school, it is home. It is hard to explain but there is something about this place that makes it so much more than just where you go to school. The people are amazing, the classes are challenging and we have wonderful professors. I love the size, location is okay, lol, I don't know... I love it. I don't know if faith is important to you or not but one nice thing about Notre Dame is it is a place where your faith can grow and faith is really fostered here...you can't say that about many colleges. I hope that helps a bit.

Yes that does help. I mean Charlottesville is an excellent college town. While ND, haha, you even laughed. But I'm seeking a science major, and most likely the pre-med curriculum. I'm from North Carolina so it's definitely far away. It's a tough decision. Thanks for your help though; also thanks to anyone else who can help. I need all I can get between now and May 1
