Notre Dame vs. Vanderbilt

Contrast the two, especially recruiting in the south, law school prep, prep for investment banking/ management consultancy.

ND just has a more renowned rep everywhere in the US.

not sure about the south specifically, but on the west coast ND is like considered on par with Cal and Stanford, and vanderbilt…not many people heard of lol.

Going to Vanderbilt will work out nicely if you want to settle down in the south.

Honestly for stuff like that you might try US News rankings. That’s mostly objective kinda stuff. For the qualitative part, you can ask those in Vanderbuilt for their school, unless they hate you too much.

For law school preparation, it doesn’t matter. Top law schools accept students from all sorts of undergraduate backgrounds, from Ivy League to tiny liberal arts colleges to huge state universities. The rank of the law school you attend, and your relative performance there, will be a far more important factor in your legal job search than your undergraduate school. So, quite honestly, I’d choose the college that will cost you less $$, and save your tuition dollars for law school, where there are far fewer scholarship opportunities.
