I have applied REA to Notre Dame and am awaiting the decision. I personally feel as if I have nailed the key components of the applications EXCEPT for the ACT score…I’ve studied like crazy and tested multiple times to no avail.

Could you please give me a percentage chance of admittance and if you post a link in the comments I will do the same for you! Thanks!

If you really, really want to attend ND and that comes across in your application/essays. Their loss not to admit you. I think schools want passionate students that are thrilled to attend their schools and can handle the workload. It seems you can handle the workload.

REA at ND is ultra-selective. My daughter was #1 in her class for 3 straight years (and the fourth) at the time of application. She had SAT scores of 2260 (ACT 34), co enrolled at HS and college as a Philadelphia Diocesan Scholar, President of the NHS, Editor of the school paper headed Ministry and Service and ran track and CC. She was not accepted REA. She was crushed but stuck with it and kept in touch with her admissions counselor. She was admitted RD and is a freshman now. She loves it there. The point is do not give up if REA does not come through, stick with it…

Wow, @Dadof4greatkids that’s great to know. I thought if you were rejected REA you couldn’t be considered RD.

Have you gotten a link to open a portal to check your status or anything? I applied REA as well and haven’t and am not sure what to think.

@captmag yeah I haven’t gotten anything like that either but from what I’ve heard the decision from ND just comes in the mail.
