Nov 09 Maria.Tsunagi Critical Reading Section

Wow. I’m excited. Critical reading was what I was hoping to raise, and I think I did it. Everything that’s been said seems to match up with what I remember.

I wasn’t sure about the question that asked how Tsugumi viewed the loss of something valuable. I went with the part of a greater system of exchange answer, but the “necessary and beneficial” answer almost got my bubble. In the end I decided while “necessary” was appropriate, “beneficial” wasn’t.

I chose “central exchange” also.

jack: I got the same answer for the same reason

Jack I also said system of exchange.

@ inflore, randwulf

i got self-reliance…cuz tsugumi appeared very strong because she kept secrets to herself and relied on her self to overcome misfortuene

I said vulnerability as well

forgery passage: “special” effects were “attribute” or “impression”?

does everyone agree with “vulnerability”?

dlight, look on page 24 at the link you gave us. Near the end kind of gives it away.

“you could never have imagined her getting and losing things that way… (don’t wanna type up the rest, that’s the most important part)”

i didnt get “trying to articulate a point” i got that at first, but changed it to something else…

I got “attempt to articulate a meaningful point”

fifth, seventh, and ninth grade ==> different experience
hard to deny TV to children

environmentalist activism motivated by anger
first environmental passage “accepting a trend”

I think I might have chosen “ability to go undetected”. Not sure if it’s right. I almost chose “changing the course of art history” but I’m absolutely convinced that that’s not it.

And I thought the historian was a collector…hmm

Yeah, she was “versatile.”

I put great ability and productivity. Has anyone found that passage online?

I said great ability and productivity. i got versatile.

What was the question about the forger involving “characterized”?

@marshmellow
