he was a detective because the passage talked about him hunting/tracking down frauds

sorry i meant the passage where it asks to compare the marine microbioligst (bottom of passage 1) and the teachers that teach the stuff thru evidence (passage 2)

what did u guys get for the detective question when it talked about that snake artifact or something? i said it was a special attribute to it or something, i cant really remember though

Significant: Agree with Mandalore. If you’re talking about the two environmental activism passages, the answers was “farmers plowing rare wildflowers.”

Mandalore: Yup, the answer was “attribute.”

yeah i put the farmer accidentally plowing rare wildflowers

what about the children reading question where it said “say no to a text”?

i said it meant an attribute of a competent reader or something, but i got it down to that and “categorizing someone who censors”, idk

Mandalore, if that question is what I think it is, I put “the ability to remain skeptical while reading.”

competent reader sounds correct. i think there was a question asking what “saying no” meant. i think i put not trusting the text/critisizing text…something like that

toasti, i got that same answer for a different question

yeah what toasti said.

what do you think you guys got on CR? i have absolutely no idea…it’s frustrating. i don’t feel good about it, but i think i did fine…but who knows…

Was it “demarcation line between critical readers” then?

I think I did pretty well, although I’m sort of angry at myself for reading “adulatory” as “adultery” for one of the questions in SC. :c Then again, I probably wouldn’t have gotten it right either way.

idk, im hoping for at least a 650 on CR while i hopefully got like a 750 + on math and 700 + on writing…i loathe CR

the SC question with a man giving calm responses to people who criticize him…was the answer dismissive? …i had that but then changed it to wistful…only because i took a practice test with the word wistful the day before…

I got “demarcation line between critical readers” for an answer. Can’t remember the question for the life of me though.

i remember getting “dismissive” for that, wg29210

i think wistful was wrong, he was more dismissive

Main Entry: wist·ful
Pronunciation: ˈwist-fəl
Function: adjective
Etymology: blend of wishful and obsolete English wistly intently
Date: 1714

1 : full of yearning or desire tinged with melancholy; also : inspiring such yearning

if we’re thinking of the same one, i think the consensus was “measured” for the correct answer.

i think ur talking about the barrier btw adults and children for reading, i cant remember what i got for that one

i looked measured up, but it doesnt realllllly fit the definition. oh well. i hope that section was EXP

Main Entry: measured
Function: adjective
3 : deliberate, calculated

“calculated” because he had to think about it and restrain himself to answer calmly? that’s what i thought, anyway

It was definitely measured. None of the other answers made sense.
