If you are submitting it online, the website actually hints that you may submit it a bit later than Nov 1 too.</p>

<p>^Agreed. You shouldn't be scrambling on the last day to send out an application. If you really want to get in somewhere (at least ED), you should be at the point of revision.</p>
<p>You really should try to get it in at least a day before the deadline. Search the CC archives and you will find posts from frantic students who waited until the last few minutes and then -- the Common App website froze up from all the activity and they couldn't submit!! </p>
<p>Do yourself a favor and plan ahead. It's much less stressful that way.</p>

<p>cornell admissions office confirmed that deadline is Nov 1. 11:59 PM. so yes, us last minuters still have saturday =)</p>
