what was the one about the biggest export before 1850.

there were two choices about cotton, which i didnt pick, because i thought the cotton gin hadnt been invented yet. then there was a stupid choice about iron. i had it down between sugar and wheat, and picked sugar. what was the answer?
the cotton gin was invented by eli whitney in 1793...but i remember my history teacher telling us last year that only after 1860 did cotton become massively produced or something...he said "after 1860, 60% of all of our exports were cotton." i put sugar too...since i thought since the beginning of colonialism to 1850 it'd probably sugar because of all the slaves. hope we're right...youre right it couldnt have been iron. it might have been wheat though, im not 100% sure it was cotton.

Yeah we've always voted for the House of reps, that's why the answer is 1 legislature. The question was:what has always been given to the citizens. And that answer is 1 legislature because we didn't always vote for both houses until the progressive movement.

I put raw cotton, because the rest of Europe industrialized before we did so they would have had more demand for raw materials.
The 2 cotton choices were raw cotton and cotton cloth

yeah, i knew that cotton wasnt important until later. i hope we are right.

what was the one about the battle of new orleans?

and the one about why was the fourth amendment included?

oh, it actually was referring to farmers? well even then didn't a lot of the immigrants come in as farmers because they were so poor?

AH DAMN IT WASN"T COTTON? i put RAW COTTON

so what were the choices again. i put something with executive and something with legislature.

and immigrants stayed in the cities, mostly. they worked in factories and stuff.

battle of new orleans 1915 one i narrowed it down to "demonstrated america's military superiority over great britain" and the "boosted the confidence of americans" (those werent the exact words). i chose that one.

The 4th amendmant: I remember there being a trick answer about the tax collecting policies of the STATE GOV. So I put the other one that had tax policies as a choice.

Battle of NO gave us the right to the River.

i also had it narrowed down to the two that cliffhanger had. but i do remember some battle about a river. but there was also a battle that increased confidence. which was which?

boosted the confidence of americans is the correct one for sure

ah, bummer...yeah now i do remember they stayed in the cities mostly.

raw cotton oh shoot! it might have been that...cause i remember we did a lot of exporting cotton to english mills before the cotton gin arrived in the south?

4th amendment of "seizure and search" i put writs of assistance i think.

choices were: 2 legislature, 1 legislature, judicial, executive, executive and legislatire.

i omitted that one on amendment..should have memorized

Glueeater, you sure it gave us access to the mississippi river? i wasn't completely sure of that either.

oh, and wth is bell tivools or whatever that answer choice was? what question was that?
executive and legislatire
thats what i put, because we have always voted for president. wasnt i right? since it doesnt specify how many legislatures.

the fourteenth amendment one? it gave blacks rights.

I couldn't remember hat writs of assistance are

"The 4th amendmant: I remember there being a trick answer about the tax collecting policies of the STATE GOV."

I think it was the state government tax collecting

No, I htink you are right abou the Battle of NO

For New Orleans it gave americans confidence of their survival

and I put that The bill or rights included the 4th amendment because of British use of writs of assistance, where the British were allowed to search and seize

actually, the 14th amendment gave us 'equal protection of the laws' (answer choice A). i'm studyign it in AP gov now that's why i remembered right away. blacks were given civil rights via the 13th amendment and the right to vote by the 15th amendment...but they had to pass a literacy test to vote i think.
