oh yeah. i didnt know that one.

i did not pick a choice with I.

two sticks - Yes i know. I put affirmative action as the answer

So guys. HOWS THE CURVE ON THIS TEST WHAT U THINK?????

I bet it'll be more lenient seeing as how there were REALLY FREAKEN random questions on it.

For the mexican revolution one, I put II ONLY, for no reason really.

I don't remember the legacy of the New deal, what was the question? Was it an EXCEPT question?

What was the Rock and Roll one? I thought about billie Holiday because wasn't he fold music? He did strange fruit right? I put little richard because he seemed more recent.

no it wasnt an except question.

there was one about the national origins act. it was to increase the western and northern, and decrease the southern and eastern.

and there was a question with a quote. it was something about what the person used to gain support for womens suffrage, and the answer was "nativism".

i had no clue about that one^. left it blank.

fcking idiot random questions

billie holiday is a woman. she did jazz. and yeah she did strange fruit. and little richard isnt more recent. he just didnt die yet. elvis, buddy holly, and billie holiday are all dead.

I left the rock and roll as well as mexican (4 roman numeral) one blank...those were just retarded.

yeah that's what I put also, andrea.

those weren't the just retarded ones..i was in fact damn ****ed off as i was taking the test cuz those CB doodles don't really care about what questoins they put on the freakin test...ther were about 10 retaded questions

im surprised you guys didnt know the rock and roll one, just from pop culture. havent you heard of the people on the question?

and why would you omit it. i bet everyone could eliminate elvis. that leaves four choices which makes it beneficial to guess. and if you know the song "american pie" you can eliminate buddy holly.

it was still a retarded question andrea...who the heck guessed that kinda question would come out?

Just because you don't know the answer to a question doesn't mean it's "retarded". The reason those questions are on there is to separate people who know a whole lot about US History from people who don't. You can't expect every single question to be as broad as "Why was the Civil War fought?".

Personally, I was happy when I saw the Billie Holiday question because I'd been listening to her the night before and people who listen to jazz should be rewarded.

So do you guys think the curve will be the same as this:

or higher? lower?

Hopefully the curve is about the same as that or even a little more generous. It is just me or was this test a complete joke? This is my second year in IB History and I feel like the concepts tested today were completley useless. The test seemed extremely based on memorization, was extremely random, and had little to do with important concepts. I'll be lucky to break 650. Just my take.

For the question on Turner's thesis, did ANYONE else put "conservationism"...or am I the only one? I thought that was a key point of Turner's thesis. Bleh.

no it was social mobility.
i read that the day before the test in a review book.

Come on, we gotta keep this thread up. It's my favorite SAT 2 thread. It was pretty active for a while.
