what do you guys think the CR curve will be like? how many points off to maintain the 800? 750?

Up to 1 wrong for an 800, 3 for a 750.

My CR curves have been: -4 760 and -1 800

This is a little late, but the one with the 40 cards and 10 of each color...

I put down 28. I read someone said it was 37, anyhow.

The probability of obtaining 1 green card by pulling out a card randomly from 40 is 1 out of 4 times.

10 Green Cards/40 Card Total = 1/4

So everytime I draw 4 cards, 1 of them will be green. In order to get 7, I need to draw out 28 cards.

That's how I figured it to be.

I messed up so badly on that stupid inscribed circle and the loest number after 999... Hopefully -2 will get me a good score still.

What if you draw all the red, all the blue and all the white but still dont have the green? You need to be ABSOLUTELY sure. Thus probability doesnt apply here.

CAN WE ALL COME TOGETHER AND DETERMINE WHICH WAS THE EXPERIMENTAL SECTION? I HAD 4 VERBALS. I THINK THE EXPERIMENTAL WAS EITHER SECTION 6 OR 7. please respond! i omitted an entire section!!!!!!!!!!!

The cards one was definitely 37

verbal experimental was the one about running away.

why are people talking about socrates?!?!?!?!??!

How much is 4 MC and 2 Grid-In Wrong going to be? Damn careless mistakes....2 of those MC were from easy questions (# line..i put ONE, not TWO ****) and (The Venn Diagram...I picked 1 and 7, because 4 and 5 - the 5 included Calculus) grrrr....Please be a 700 :X

according to the blue book, 47 raw= 660-720.

47 on MATH is like 660 according to my past experiences....I've taken SAT twice

the scale for NEW SAT is pretty much fixed....800, 770, 750, 730, 710, 690, 680, 660

give or take 10 points for each thing cept 800 - you can't get 800 without getting every question on the test right!

first time I got a 730 then I got 800

Yeah, merudh is right. I don't think there is ever going to be another SAT I on which you can miss a math question and still get an 800.

However, I'd say give or take twenty points for your scale.

there's another thread on here of someone complaining of 49 raw (3 wrong 1 omit) gave him a 720. it seems like a pretty harsh scale, but I guess it's justified since math is relatively easy.

true....I think OLD sat math sucked with that quant comp crap...lol

according to merudh's scale...what would I get - whats 4 MC wrong, 2 omit (2 grid-in wrong) equal as a raw score? And what score would that give me?

In March, that would have gotten you a 690, parikhs.

rchan, the CR section w/ aristotle/socrates was exp

b/c that was the only CR passage i don't recall and i had an extra Math exp

for the NEW SAT math

-0 = 800
-1 or 1 omit = 790, not 770 as meru said

but -2 will probably be ~770
