My son said it was harder than he thought.
Did anyone rememmber anything about a "plumber" somewhere in the reading comp. section?

Haha. That was the passage I couldn't read at all. I saw that it mentioned "water" so I was like, "Geez, this sounds like it could be a plumber."

Yeah. A plumber fixing up a bathroom.

I took it today and thought it was a little on the hard side as well. But then again, I had only taken one "official" practice test beforehand. Will this just make the curver larger?

and yes, I remember something about a plumbing service

Yes, I can confirm it was an advertisement of a plumbing company offering 20% discounts to people

im mad at myself for missing a few listening ones due to me completely zoning out. Only had 5 hours of sleep the night before :(

anyone remember the one about the principal in the listening section?

Yes. The question was "when did the principal come in?" and the answer should've been "I didn't even notice that he came in."

I had to get up at 5AM and be driven 2 hours to my test centre - so I was dozing off while listening to the CD. But since I'm a native speaker it wouldn't have mattered anyway :P

was that the answer choice B?
yeah I'm a native speaker too but I would forget what the person said

what kind of scores are you guys hoping for?

800....since that's only, like, the 61st percentile

hey does anyone remember a question in section 2 about horses? and the one with the sentence in chinese the clothes that were soaked by the rain or sumthing?

the one about the clothes....was C
the horses....I dont quite remember. Maybe you should put the pinyin. I def. did not do well on that test. Was harder than I expected.

The horse question:

That man has ______ horse

The answer should've been (in pinyin) haoji (quite a few)

And the answer to the soaked cloth question was A (or so I thought)

for the clothes questions i got 令 (lin), because choice A didnt make sense...does anyone remember the choices for the horse question? was there a choice with the word 一隻 (yi zhi)? excuse my bad pinyin. i hv a friend who got only two wrong on chinese with listening and got 730 or sumthing? is the curve that hard?

this is j moms son who just took the test
people few miore thiings. For the plumbing service, were the asnwers to the following questions like installation (cuz i dont think there was fixing as one of the answer choice) and that the service is useful to like people who want bathrioom remodelling?
plus some listening things
For number 3, which was about like "where was something" and answer choices were like "next toi the window" and two other choices that tells you directions. What did u guys write for that. i couldn really understand the statement. plus question 19, the answer choices were "qi que ba hao" "qi hao ba haio" siome thiings like that, what did u guys write?
haha those were my questions. anything more troubling to u guys?

anyone remember the last two passage of the listen test? was making a reservation 3? and checking flight schedule 1? Also, what did the lady tell the man about the buying boxes at the bookstore?

about the clothing one, i asked my aunt and she said its (A). It's a word people used in China, so Taiwanese like me suffered. I did, however, pick C.

J mom: The one "next to the window" was about a dialogue asking for direction to the meal car on the train. That was the wrong answer, btw. The correct answer was "keep walking past the next 2 cars..."

Delusioned: I'm pretty sure that Question 55 (clothes soaked by the rain) is A (Jiao). I'm a native speaker of 11 year, and afterwards I asked another native mandarin speaker of 13 years, and she put A as well. I then asked my parents (who virtually only speak Chinese), and they said it's A as well.

Betterday: can't remember the number for reservation, but checking flight schedule is 1. And the women told the guy to buy the box at the post office cuz it's cheaper.

"about the clothing one, i asked my aunt and she said its (A). It's a word people used in China, so Taiwanese like me suffered. I did, however, pick C."

Agreed. I'm non-native too, so I didnt understand that "slang". They define the correct Chinese as Chinese from mainland China. They should not touch on such areas that others may not know or understand. Down with SAT Chinese! This puts me down to a 770......

I put 等于 instead of 在于 for that one question on complete the sentence, shouldn't have second guessed myself..

Anyone remember the answer for #3 on listening? I had a faulty CD player....I think the first 5 alternated like a b a b a or something? or b a b a b?

What was the character for A?

I put 等于. isnt it correct? if not....down to 760-4x.25=750....
