@pakidoc124 lol why would you say something like that. I’ve already talked to people who have said there’s an interview.
@Mo1zikon Hey do you have any reccommendations on subjects I should study for the interview? I’m not asking for anything specific just wanna get a general idea.
there was absolutely no interview for the d.o program we walked in and we toured around bro. I am not one to lie and that was all there was to the interview. Just ask @Mo1zikon .
@AdmiralQuackbar I would study on some basic principles of osteopathy as well as some of the history.
Hey, pretty sure @AdmiralQuackbar already had the interview but I second @nealpatel11 also know some general health related topics.
Got accepted today what about you @pakidoc124
Nothing yet mo1zikon jeep praying for me though lol
got admitted to NOVA BS/DO 4+4 program Fall 2016
But I have some concerns about this school:
-I heard from staff that most of the students fail to meet the MCAT requirement,
-Too expensive
-Most of staff especially the admission counsellors are inexperienced, They all are either recent graduates from NOVA, or currently attendg graduate school
-Very poor follow through, staff don’t return calls or respond to email. They seem very disorganized
-Also majority of student reviews online are negative.
Very conflicted. This is an important decision, don’t want to mess it up.
Can you guys share your thoughts?
@docaspirant I’m almost certain that where you read that most people fail to meet the MCAT requirement is from a 5 year old forum post on sdn. Entrance requirements since then have changed significantly.
No, I heard this from a staff at NOVA during the shark interview weekend .
@docaspirant Well that’s pretty rough to hear then. Definitely going to make me think if that’s still the case.
Are you also 2016 applicant ?
got into 3+4 and let me tell you nova is the best bs do program there is. the mcat is a 26ish requirement lmfaoo thats easy as balls if you actually study. most people arent serious about medicine and take it lightly and end up bombing the mcat. dont be that person. it take a 32ish mcat to get into MD schools so this is a free ticket to med school in 77 degree weather. take it or leave it.
@pakidoc124 I like the way you look at it. Gives a good perspective.
Srry to ask but what we’re you’re guys stats? Mine are 4.55 w gpa and 33act, do u guys think I will get in
Hey guys! I am currently a junior in high school…senior year and college apps are right around the corner
I’m extremely interested in the Nova BS/DO program and I was wondering whether any of you guys got in without shadowing an MD or DO.
You have a full summer to do shadowing. Just call around someone will say yes.
Hey just doing some research for college as I will be applying this year. I have heard of the advantages of Nova’s dual admission programs and was wondering how my chances are and whether I should apply for the seven or eight year program. Here are my stats:

I’ll appreciate any advice and congrats to those who were accepted into nova’s program.
Hi : Can someone confirm if the minimum requirement for BS/DO - weighted gpa 3.5 is out of 4 or 5?
@nealpatel11 did you end up of going to NSU? if so how do you like it? did you get accepted to the BS/DO with a full ride scholarship?
