Are there any other competitions than Scholastic interested in seeing a novel? I am currently writing one, but Scholastic only accepts the first 50 pages.

[National Novel Writing Month](http://www.nanowrimo.org/)

For novel writing, I’d rather try and get it published. Once you submit it to Scholastic (and if you win #1), then they have rights to it for 1 year (I think). Scholastic also has an already published writer helps you with your novel.

How am I supposed to do get it published then?

Also, I don’t think I have any way of completing my novel before November is over.

If it’s fiction, find an agent and take it from there. I think once you find an agent, they’ll get you an editor/publisher…

And NaNoWriMo is more like “get the words down!” then actual publishing material (like, write it then revise it in December).
