Hey guys, anyone taking the Nov. SSAT?

me me me me

I may be retaking the SSAT on the 12th, just depending on how well I did on the last test.

I heard from some people that it was hard. Not wanting to breach any sacred contracts :p, was it harder than you expected?

May take the Nov. 12 SSAT. Scores were “ok” for me. In the 70th percentile. Definitely invest some time in Verbal and Math. Reading isn’t so hard if you read a lot but even so, I need to study in all of those subjects.

I took it. I didn’t do too well… wait, what’s okay, good, and bad for someone who’s applying to Exeter?

Okay: 90 percentile.
Bad: Less than 80, but that definitely doesn’t mean you’re not getting in.
Good: Above 90th percentile, I guess.

Remember, SSATs aren’t the only part of the apps.

Alright… okay. I did get higher than 90 percentile, but… hmm… alright. Thanks! I don’t really have a lot that stands out about me, so I was hoping to get some really good on the SSAT.

I was one percentile off from an okay 90th percentile overall… My vocab and reading were good, but my math was awful, even though it is my strongest subject. At least I have some backup from other aspects. Does traveling the world a lot help acceptance (I have been to a lot of countries and I am a URM)?

Oh, wow. It happens! Did you study a lot for it?

And I’m not sure… probably though! (What’s “URM”? I feel so uneducated :P)

I studied a decent amount for it. Small house, so distractions. URM= under represented minor.

When did you all get your scores?

@hello: I got it through email on the 21st. :-/

@Leo: I see… I’m not sure. >.< Traveling the world is cool anyway. XP

Did you have to pay extra to get it through email?

Hey guys, do you think it’s a little weird I still haven’t gotten my scores back yet?

How do they send it to you (email, delivery, on the site?). Or maybe it’s because I took it out side the US…

I got it from mail. It might be because it was lost…? If I were you, I would call the SSAT organizers, explain your situation and testing site, and ask when and how you’ll get the results.

@gradclass2020 it isn’t weird that you didn’t get your scores yet. I live in close proximity to the place where the scores are processed, so I just got mine today at 12 noon. The estimated arrival time for mine was yesterday, the 24th but they prob forgot that the post office is closed on Thanksgiving. You will probably be getting yours soon as well.

I actually got 2 emails from SSAT… the score report–twice! One came really early, and one came like… yesterday. I wonder what happened with that…?

^^…Maybe a computer mistake?

Perhaps. XD So did anyone do exceptionally well on the November SSAT? And anyone going to the Choate chat things? (Maybe I should make a different thread about that…)
