November 2008 SAT Subject Test: Chemistry

How well do you think you did?

i think i did pretty good.....i thought it was relatively easy, especially the first 20 or so questions....hoping for 700+

I thought there were a few that could have been better...but overall ok. I just hope I didn't mess up anything extremely easy.

I omitted 5 questions, and I'm sure I've gotten at least 5 questions wrong. so -11 raw score... What would that give me (as a mark)?

should I cancel it?

a 64 raw score corresponds to around a 720 me thinks. Dont cancel. I think i got a 750+ It was pretty easy, just a bit longer than I expected. They should let us use calculators to speed things up. The only way I got lower than a 750 is if I somehow messed up the T,F section (I hate that). Will see.

When do scores become available?

64 raw score? aren't there 85 questions? so 85-11=74 right?

That's a 760.

I omitted two or three and think I missed anywhere between 1 and 5, hopefully I get above a 740 but I guess I will see when the time comes.

You'll have to remind me of the question. I don't remember which number is which.

it had a tube and soma water in it..and said smth about partial pressures and vapor p bla bla

Oh I remember.

The pressure in the tube is the atmospheric pressure minus the vapor pressure of the water (b/c the water molecules and the H2 molecules mix in the air above the water) minus the displaced pressure.

any oter tha u remember???

No, not really. I omitted one redox question (the last redox) because I had no time left, but I really don't want to know the answer to that one.

I thought overall the test was okay. There wasn't any flame test/rotememorization/hybrid orbitals/ molecular orbitals stuff. But there were more acid/base, solubility, concentration than usual, that stupid mistakes could easily be made upon.

what was that question about isomers? one of them didn't have an isomer, think it was the first one

I liked this chem test. It was a bit hard and time consuming with all those reactions to ballance, but it was fun.

Random thing I remember:
Biggest electronegativity difference question: Cesium Fluoride (Obviously)

Took chem last, Phys and Math 2 had clouded my brain up so much by that point I don't remember much.

yeah it was kinda easy...i knew how to do most of them
only if i had time... too little time ! i just wish i had 10 more minutes

anyway i was rushing through and had to omit some and probably made silly mistakes.......................:(

wat was 7 pH after adding something to NaOH

oh yeah wat was redox question that had I, II, III
and
I part was like H2 plays a role or something

HCl obviously, of the same concentration.

ok and Ba(NO3)2 was the answer for producing solid problem right?

does any of u remember trues and falsee quesetions?

btw there was two ice density question for t/f wat was the other one?
