November 2008 SAT Subject Test: Korean with Listening

curve, not that high
a lot of fluent koreans like myself take the exam

i read a few days ago, one person missed 1, and his/her score was 790
with like 65 percentile, cuz there are so many perfect scores.

So if the curve is not that high, say like I got -3 out of 80, and curve with not that high, what will I get?

so you miss 3. that’s 77
but because of point deduction, that will be 76
looking at how CB graded in 2001, you’ll have a 790
but i’m thinking about 770-780 now

So basically there isn’t even a curve right?

no, there is.
it changes every year. just hope other ppl did worse than you.
if i missed three, i’d be expecting 770-790.

no, there is.

Dang, well anyways back to the test… there was one about Bal At Dah, stepping in Korean, what lower symbols did you use?

밟 i’m sure on this one

and the words that followed were?

tell me what were some choices
or how they are pronounced. i don’t recall

Bal At dah or maybe it was Bal Yut Dah
Bal Hyut dah
And other ones with different lower symbols on Bal following Hyut dah or At dah

what about the grammar question with
탈걸 or 탔을걸

which one??

****, I missed 1 and skipped 2, is that a 790?

and what was that one about this man trying to get a bike

tsh1226 I think that is around 770-780. Because I believe if you get two wrong or maybe two omitted, then you can still get 800.

Bumpidy bumping bump

bike…

he wants one so he can commute to work
the woman suggested him to get a light and sturdy one

doremido,
i don’t recall that question. can u give me the rest of the sentence?

Yeah, me neither I do not recall doremido’s question. But how about mine johnny you still haven’t answered it yet…
Bal At dah or maybe it was Bal Yut Dah
Bal Hyut dah
And other ones with different lower symbols on Bal following Hyut dah or At dah

oh sorry!
okay um…

밟혔다

NOT
밟았다
