November 2008 SAT Writing

Were there any E's in section 10?

The Beth sentence is no error, no matter how awkward it sounds.

I had one section with like 8 E's (not section 10). It was really weird.

did anyone else get alot of doubles/triplets?

8?!??

Hopefully you had an experimental section lol

^ yes, i got quite a few

So for those of us who had two writing sections (5 and 6) back to back, which one was experimental?

Good, I was like, "gah! the test makers are getting in my mind!" I think I'm gonna write a book- "Behind Enemy Lines: A Teenager discovers how the SAT is written". I'm seriously considering it....lol

squadus - I definitely had experimental writing but I'm not sure whether this section it was.
I think the one that had lots of E's was the one with a chess/computer essay at the end.

I KNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

i got like
EEDDCCBBAA (not exactly, but it was freaking me out)

and then
ABCDEDCBA

i double checked a million times too..

Great topic on tradition - lots of very tricky questions - hope my colleges place less value on the Writing cause I aced the CR and Math.

"So for those of us who had two writing sections (5 and 6) back to back, which one was experimental?"

Same question as ivyleaguewannabe, which section was the experimental one?

5th or 6th?

thanks!

I had 2 E's on my W section and none for the last section.

I definitely didn't have a chess/computer essay to correct so that must've been experimental.

The regular writing section was the one with Mexican soap operas, anything else must've been experimental.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!^

that was the writing section i rocked....wasn't so sure about the writing section 6...

hahaha but which section was the soap opera one for the test that had back-to-back writing sections?

i don't remember, so i can't tell which one was the experimental one =P

OH SO #6 was the experimental one?
I ACED THAT TOO!!!!

number 5 was the real one.

Section 6 (experimental) had the essay on cell phones...

help, why can't I remember an essay on cell phones?!

it was about reusing cell phones versus throwing them away. It talked about how many resources were used in making cell phones, and that throwing cell phones away was bad.
