November 2009 - Biology (E/M)

DNA does not have ribose

depends…did it ask for a group or just one? Cause if it’s just one, then nucleotide is the best answer

yes because it asked for one of everything, not a whole group

Kaplan definitely isn’t too easy. I never even broke 600 on a Kaplan test, and couldn’t even break 500 on the diagnostic test.

And I’m pretty sure its not collegeboard copying questions from PR, but the other way around…

CB used some questions from an older official test, which PR had also used in a review book.

Everything that can be said about the ribose/nucleotide question has been said. It’s controversial…

i hope there is a good curve. All the best on TUESDAY!!!

I think they have to curve this test quite a bit because it wasn’t fair; there wasn’t a single question on human physiology, which is the most commonly tested topic.

Two more days until scores are released! :D

if so, then the test will have to be curved a lot, because the some questions themselves are pretty ambiguous

Yeah, please curve a bit~Bless,bless~

a few hours!!!

btw, i think PR was really good. barrons has unnecessary junk, and is over preparing. besides, PR is very accurate.

Barron’s helped quite a bit.

750 bio m, used princeton and barrons, overall im satisfied

Kaplan. I think any book is fine as long as you go through at least 80% of the material.

760 Bio E~Much better than I thought~Princeton’s review did help a lot~

770, “SAT II Biology for Dummies” and SparkNotes free online stuff.

I had Kaplan but literally threw it out after about 5 minutes, it went into far too much detail. I only had a week to study so that extra stuff would have bogged me down. For Dummies and SparkNotes kept it nice, clear and simple, with everything you need for the test. SparkNotes alone is all you’d really need.

dang not many made a 800 on cc?
so what did yall think was the hardest concept on the test?

I completely failed. 680

Those classical genetics questions at the end were very annoying.

Just a quick question, on the page with the grade,
should it say Biology M if you took M?
Or will it say Biology E regardless?
