November 2009 SAT scores for EA Application

I took the November 2009 SAT I and I'm almost certain I've improved by a significant margin from the last SAT I took. I noticed that the application didn't have a place to note that I was planning on taking the SAT again.

I haved already marked MIT as a college to send the scores to immediately after they are released. When admissions gets the scores, will they have already looked over my application? Or will they still be sorting all the files out?

They will get there in time. I’ve hear this from McGreggor, Mollie, and MIT blogs.

Nov scores WILL get there in time for them to start reading your app, if you marked MIT.

You’ll get your scores by end of Nov, right? For at least another week, MIT will be sorting and organizing mail anyways. You are set :)

I have a similar question to his, but I’m not going to make a new thread.

For example, I take the SAT on the last available month, but it gets delayed because of a significant jump in the scores.

Will that affect admission decisions because the scores have a pending status and will be delayed?

P.S. This isn’t happening to me. I’m just wondering if I took the Jan test and had a major improvement

Why would your scores be delayed because of a significant jump… I don’t think College Board will investigate you for a big jump…

As long as MIT is aware that they’re waiting for the January scores, it’s not a problem. MIT would normally get the January scores in early- to mid-February. They go into selection in late February, and decisions aren’t finalized and released until mid-March.
