November 2009 SAT Test Discussion

I didn’t have math experimental and there was a quetions like what is the lowest possible value of f so that’s not experimental for sure

ok ty and im pretty sure there was only one grid in so the double equation question counted too. also the dog fence problem section coutned too so theres 3 the coutned

anyone know the answer to the 2 small passages about free will and disposition: question #9 (what would author 1 say about writers in passage 2)?

^^^ I bombed that whole passage. That was the point that I lost my mind and was like *** is this?!?! so i wouldn’t be surprised if i got all 4 of those q’s wrong >< dfhgjhkgjhs!!
I was hoping for for a good score in CR

Does anyone know the answer to the question on the student response math section that asked what was the 101 term in the series or something like that?

do you mean the one were it asked for the second term and said the 5th was 111 and it was double the previous term + 1 ?

No, I think it on the question I’m talking about the series started with 2 and 3 was added each time

so i had math 2nd and it was normal difficulty, then math again right after and it was ridiculously hard, the last question had like a couple right triangles overlapping and you had to find the length of one of the segments. Was this experimental?

^Calinate, I don’t remember that question, so it could have been experimental

i remember, the answer to that question was 302 for sure. the formula would have been 2 + 3(n-1)

ya, that what i got… 302-- Someone who had blue booklet… did you get 1/8 for x^3-y^3 in the last, 20 minute math section.

Critical reading passage about children and reading/tv-- for the question about why does the author cite “several studies.” I put that the answer was to give evidence that children can concentrate on tv shows once their 36 months old. Did anyone get that?

Writing section (10 minutes). Did anyone get just “mutual” for the shakespeare improving sentences question?

i got all of those answers ^

AWESOME! Thanx!

Do you usually do well?

Also, I forgot about one.

The last writing question in the 10 minute section. Did you get a colon and then"its wingspan can be up to 10 feet?"

I chose the onoly one with a colon, but there were semi colon options. Which one did you choose?

yes, i’m SURE those are right. i do well, i retook for critical reading purposes.

yes, i also got that one. it had to be colon and “its” because it talked about one bird

gracias!!!

Did anyone get the one about mountains and “requiring walking?”
I put “and so people need to …”

@hellomynameisc Yea, I got the same answer you did. I was a little iffy on that one.

Did you guys get the selfish success essay prompt? What did you write about?

I wrote about Obejtivism, Bill Gates, Mark Twain, Usain Bolt and Tyson Gay, and supermarkets.

WHAATTTT !! the SAT novem was easier ?? Man, you guys are making me wanting to take it now >_<!

watd u guys get for the CR sentence completion that was talking about the attention-seeking girls, like choices were punctilious and some other things…?

It was histrionic, meaning like overly dramatic displays of emotion, hence “attention seeking”

did any of u guys get the questions that had “with which” and “to which”? were any of those incorrect choices? this is for the writing section

Also what was the anwer to the sock question on the math?, the answer choices were like 2,3,4,6,7
