maybe the one they are talking about was on the other version… what were the last two on the grid ins, the version with the area of the trapezoid thing and the last one i cant remember, i got 80 and 120… but i wasnt sure about either

was the 45 two digit integers first greater then second a grid-in?

yes it was :)

Hi, I took Nov 06 SAT in the East Coast.
I had a math section experimental.
Can anyone confirm me which one was the experimental for me?
First, I had
Section 1 - Essay
Section 2 - Writing MC –> (The last six questions based on the short paragraph was about this guy’s memory about the board games during his college time…)
Section 3 - Math (grid-ins)
Section 4 - CR
Section 5 - Math (20 Questions / 25 minutes)
Section 6 - Math (20 Questions / 25 minutes)
Section 7 - CR
Section 8 - Math (20 minutes)
Section 9 - CR
Section 10 - Writing.

I hope Section 5 was the experimental for me…
For Section 5,
I remember that there was a question asking like…
The Eight Dots are drawn in circular shape and it asked how many lines can you connect with the Eight dots. –> I hope this Section is the experimental.

And For Section 6,
I had a question like…
line 2x + ky = 8. k is constant. This line intersects the y-axis at (0,-4).
What is the slope of the line? like this.
I got “1” for this.

I hope this is the real one.

Any one who didn’t have math experimental but had the above question???

Well, if there are 8 dots and you have to connect lines, the answer would be 8C2, or 28 lines.

I hope that 8 dots & the lines question was the Experimental Section.

I really didn’t do well on that Section.

I hope the section 6 w/ “2x + ky = 8. k is constant. This line intersects the y-axis at (0,-4).
What is the slope of the line?” question is the REAL ONE

Well the slope of that line would be 1.

@SICKOFSAT, I had the same format, but a different math experimental because I didn’t have the 8 dots question.

@CrzyGmer789X2, did you have same version as me? the writing MC with the “board game…” and did you have the “2x + ky = 8. k is constant. This line intersects the y-axis at (0,-4)” question? on your 25mins math Section?

Yeah I had those questions, I just didn’t have the one about the 8 dots. Some other questions I had were about the two hoses filling up a tank at different rates (could’ve been experimental), two pictures of a cube and how many sides (as a fraction) weren’t shown, the probability of drawing a black chip after the first chip was black, etc.

SoS, I think the 8 dots section was your experimental. I had an experimental Math section too and didn’t get that question.

yeah i had the same as CrzyGmer, i dont remember a dot question though, even though i did have an experimental math. what was the answer for the hoses filling up the tank, was that the one that asked if one filled it up at T and the other was T/2 and the combined time it took was like 12 hours, and it asked what T was??? i think i omitted it because i thought it was experimental and i didnt have enough time to remember how to do those, but it was in the 20 minute section i think so it wasnt experimental right? =/

@alexxanderr, I think the answer to the hoses was 36? I’d post a link but since the threads got merged it’s a mess to navigate. I was unsure about that one though, but you could narrow it down to D & E (don’t remember the numbers) just from logic, or at least I did. But regardless, people are saying the answer’s 36. Can’t tell you why though.

i believe what most ppl put was 36. and no, it wasnt experimental.

damn, that sucks =/ i forgot how to do those, havent even done a question like that since like 8th grade. anybody know the last two answers for the grid-ins for this version? i cant find anything in this merged thread…

EDIT: i just looked up how to do those and its easy, i can’t believe i forgot, its just 1/t + 1/.5t = 1/12 and t=36 :(

Did anyone get the problem where there was a circle, and then a shaded part of the circle between two raddii (so it was like a triangle with a curve), and then within that the two radii are connected with a line so that now there is actually an inscribed triangle. Then it says the connecting line is 12, and asks what the shaded part’s area would be.
I put 6 pi; is that right?

Also, does anyone know what the math experimental section was?

could someone remind me as to which answers were the student response ones?

so about the cube question (with different pictures on each face)…what answer did u guys get…? i kind of forget… O.o
but I remember one of the sides in the two pictures, one of them was repeated…and since a cube has 6 sides and 5 faces were shown…there was ONE that was not shown…was that the answer you guys got? or am i getting the question wrong…? i dont really remember this one :/

^yes, I got 1/6.

Yup, 1/6. 10char.
