Didn’t the African American question state when was the first migration of AA to the north? Not when most AA’s moved??? I can’t remember.

Please answer!!

@Pippa ^I put Jackson

@Iamamartain - yes, it asked when they moved north

Which of the following did not contribute to the sectional crisis that lead up to the Civil War - Compromise of 1850 I don’t think that this is right.

^Phew - I put Jackson too.

What did people say about the main export between 1810-1860 one? I was torn between raw cotton and cotton cloth

England had the textile factories that made the cloth, so I think it was raw cotton.

^ omg me too lol. That was the last question I answered. I ended up putting raw cotton but wasn’t sure.

^That’s what I thought… and Eli Whitney or whatever his name is invented the cotton gin in 1790 something so it must have just been raw cotton.

@jlewis24 “what was the answer to the quotation question that said something about citizens feeling more American?”
I think you’re talking about nationalism quote… I said that people felt more patriotic after the War of 1812, since that’s basically all that it achieved.

Swim - which answer did you choose? I put that because it seemed like it would be the one that provoked the least controversy between slavery and anti-slavery states.

I chose Lincoln for the nullification quote because I thought Jackson was an advocate of states rights, which I associated with nullification. But I just realized he also declared nullification was treason. Darn.
& I concede on the migration one. Post WWII was the Second Great Migration - forgot that.

^yeah, that’s the one I was talking about.

phew, I put War of 1812 too after changing my answer.

What about the Korean war/seoul one? I went with it not making a significant territorial difference.

What were the countires involved in WWI? (The map of Europe question)

Also, are you guys sure about the Compromise 1850 question? I went with the obscure answer. Do you guys remember what that answer was?

Yeah I put Gadsen Purchase, but I’m not so sure…I thought the Compromise left a lot of question unanswered, contributing to the sectional conflict, but I’m probably wrong

The countries one I struggled with for about five minutes, but I’m pretty sure it was C, which had Germany, Austria-Hungary (the country to its right), Bulgaria (not sure where it was on the map), and Ottoman Empire (aka Turkey, which was all the way on the bottom right)

A few more I remember

" you shall not crucify mankind upon a cross of gold." - William Jennings Bryan
The Silent Spring was an important part of the environmental movement
The immigration laws/restrictions during the 1920s were to limit southern/eastern Europeans.

MLKs first leadership role was the Montgomery Bus Boycott
Carter’s presidency - Camp David Accords and Iran hostage situation
Marshall plan - aid European countries after WWII
Zimmerman Telegram - Germany would back Mexico if they declared war on the US.
Social Security began during FDRs New Deal
Jane Addams question - not sure. Anybody remember the answer to this question?
Truman justified the use of atomic bombs by saying that it would save millions of American lives.

Did I get any of these wrong?

I put Gadsen Purchase but on wikipedia (lol) it says “the debate over the treaty became involved in the sectional dispute over slavery, ending progress before the American Civil War in the planning or construction of a transcontinental railroad.”

DAMN IT, it was Abigail Adams? I had no clue but I wanted to choose her as a guess but decided to leave it blank.

btw, thanks for the list Jsungho

@jlewis24: Gadsden’s purchase is definitely the correct answer for that q. Since Gadsden’s purchase was after the whole slavery conflict and such.

No prob

i was very luck on that abigail adams question. I remember reading it on a practice SAT i CR passage, and happened to remember her stating that (weirdly) xD

About AA migration, I went with after Reconstruction.
On the AFL-CIO question, I’m nearly positive it’s organized skilled laborers according to class, or something like that. They didn’t include women (I don’t think).
And sweet jmnd3, I went with C as well!

@ mastablasta

It can’t be organized skilled laborers as the difference. Because, it asked what was CIO’s difference, and I know as a fact that AFL recruited only skilled workers
