November 2011 - International SAT

I just assumed there to be 40 pages. If half is completed with a rate of 10 pages per day, then that half would take 2 days. If the other half is completed with a rate of 20 pages per day, that would take 1 day. Thus, the answer becomes 40/3=13.3333.

That’s correct as well Michster!

Any other questions you remember?

I don’t really remember the ones with text, but there was also this one.

If 3^(-x) x 3^(-y)=1/27, what is the value of 3^(-x) + 3^(-y)? (I believe that the question stated that x and y are different positive integers)

This one was quite fun (well, compared to the other ones).

Haha! Yes. The final equation was x+y=3
So there were two possible cases (1,2) or (3,0)

Though I don’t remember the exact answer … maybe … was it 1/3 + 1/9 = 4/9?

Well, actually the only possible case is (1,2) since 0 is neither positive nor negative.
Yep, I believe that was the right answer.

wat about the pie graph what were the answers

i got a b for section 2 number 5. anyone remember?

what is the difference between SAT test and International SAT test?

what did you get for the last question on the last CR passage, the two about politics? it asked about the differences between passage 1 and passage 2.

@Patchie, I said that passage 2 questions an underlying assumption in passage 1, that all people don’t have a set of political beliefs.

@nut6435: Different versions of the test are administered in the US and everywhere else in the world.

@Koharvard: Everyone has randomly ordered sections. Care to explain further?

@Jean: 40 and Carrots

Which writing section was experimental? The ‘peanuts’ one or the ‘treasure/beachcombing’ one?

I saw someone say the ‘peanuts’ one was the experimental.

I took mine in Indonesia. I think my experimental section was in CR - I had 4 of them.

i had the peanuts one but not the treasure one… and I had CR experimental

was CR experimental the dust cleaning/neophyte one?

does anyone remember wich answer a b c d e the question about m-t-d was? it would help a ton.

guys… anyone had a passage about gardening? it was the worst passage of the sat i’ve ever read
i will forever be wary of woodchucks xDDDD

Haha yes. I had the “Scientific Gardening” passage :p

anyone got 2 writing sections? i got one improving paragraph section on how film and books are different anybody else get that one?

That passage was kinda easy. The paired long passages seemed the worst imo
