***November 2015 SAT (US Only) Thread ***

Wow, that just makes my 750 seem worse. I thought wouldn’t miss any math questions, now I know I missed 2 or 3. I even checked my work for once and this still happened!

Not that 750 in math is bad.

@dsi411 Thanks

October 750 cr 750 w 770 m
November 750 cr 760 w 770 m

Don’t get me wrong I’m really happy with 2250+ but… 8 on the essay??? (I had a terrible essay the other time and got a 10. I expected not the same treatment, but as it was a much better essay, 10-11 definitely) Don’t get me started on those 770s in math, and I really thought I did better this time on cr…

It’s just upsetting because this was my lower range of score when I took practice tests, and a 2300 would have been nice. I’m done though, I’m…done…

@krauser126 id advise looking at math still unless you are amazing at it. i got an 800 straight up on Oct and a 770 this time cuz i didnt look over it, but the math threw me off as i was not at my best for the rest of the test

@Hatscatshatscats Luckily writing is the least important category…and also the one I did best in. Why’d I study so much for writing? I should’ve learned what a coterie was, that would’ve been time better spent.

I don’t know how to feel. Score went down but superscore went up to a 2270 with an 800 in math.

@dsi411 true…

I really do wish I could have only got 1 wrong in math because apparently that was an 800. In all my practice tests I got 0 wrong or mayyybe 1 wrong. Such is life.

@mrmaster198 You should feel good! Yay, a higher superscore!

Yikes, I thought I pulled a 750+ in CR and was really hoping all I had to worry about was math for the December test, considering I already knew I bombed it. Best part is I put off studying until, well, now I guess since I thought I would just have to worry about one section. Congrats to those of you who made your score goals and to those that didn’t, remember that your SAT score does not define you! If you are taking it again, good luck, maybe I’ll see you on the December thread lol.

I’m done with the old SAT. Maybe someday I won’t feel satisfied with my score and I’ll take the new SAT or the ACT, but for now I’m done. Finally.

Wow… Not much improvement for me.

I mean, it’s not like I’m a bad math student or anything, but I just found this test hard. I took AP Calc last year as a sophomore and got an A in the class - I guess I’m just not that great at standardized testing…

Is it worth me taking the January test, or should I go to my secondary plan and begin studying for the ACT, which I hope I can do better on?

Congrats everyone on your great scores!

at least i finally broke 1900 FeelsBadMan

Thank god Penn supers scores! Do you think a 2270 with an 800 in math (super score) and a 2230 single highest sitting is good enough for Penn Engineering?

is it bad that i put of SAT studying for december until now?? :confused:

@roboticsnerd33 I think you should take an ACT practice test and decide based on whether you seem to be better at the ACT or SAT.

@dsi411 Yeah, that’s what I was planning on doing. I just don’t know if studying for both concurrently will make my thinking process wrong for one of the tests, or even both! The ACT is, after all, a very different test from the SAT

I know I’m a good math student, so I’m not too surprised by the 800, but my writing and reading really killing me. Any tips from my fellow cc’ers?

Ugh I can’t sleep now

@krauser126 probably but know you’re not alone haha

Writing 66 and Essay 11 and I got 720??? is this a normal curve or was it a stricter curve this time around because isnt that 2 worng on MC which id assume would be high 700s :confused:
