800 M, 670 CR, 670 W (8 essay)
Went down overall, but superscore went up. Not sure what happened on writing bc I got a 790 last time but oh well…
@krauser126 the mc for writing is out of 80 so it’s more than 2 wrong
What are the advices for Critical Reading? And any advice on how to use the Blue book? SO after taking it review the questions but do you ever go back and review your answers or just forget about it
@Kat2016 oh i thought it was 80 for mc and essay combined so 68 mc only. oops
@Hatscatshatscats I FEEL THE EXACT SAME WAY. I too got an 8 on the essay, even though I felt it was way better than my earlier essay on which I got a 9.
October Math: 800
November CR: 800
November W: 780 (10 essay)
I’m a high school junior and I can’t tell you how happy I am to be done!
Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard to get the scores they want.
CR:660 M:750 W:790 (79 w/ a 9 essay)
I mean my goal was only a 2100 this time so 2200 is certainly amazing don’t get me wrong but I was really hoping for a more even distribution of scores. On the two practice tests I took, I got straight 710s down the line, I hate the thought of having to retake but it might be worth it. Any alternatives that would qualify my score, maybe a subject test or a 5 on the AP English Language and Comp exam?
Well, that was a short nap. 2280. 790 CR, 750 M, 740 W with 10 essay.
I want to shoot myself the scores are embarrassingly low. I swear i misfiled the scantron
If colleges super score will they look down upon my other two subjects going down?
March: 740 R 760 Math 730 WR
November: 690 R 800 Math 670 WR
2400, first time as junior…what luck
daman12356 how did you study or are you just the naturally smart kind…
@HopefulSOPH, lol I’m no where near naturally smart. Uh a quick summary of how I studied was like:
For CR, i felt just repeating practice sheet after practice sheet is the only way to consistently increase your score.
For Math, I am really competitive in math and practice for tests like AIME, so i didn’t really study SAT math (cuz I just assumed…yeah).
For Writing (My weakest section by far) Since english is not my primary language, I was REALLY REALLY BAD in grammar. I was actually scoring in mid 400’s. So i took a course in the summer to just review every possible grammar rule and eventually i could perfect score writing about mid summer.
From then on, i took a full SAT every other day for as long as 32 tests could take me. And my scores started to become what I wanted after like the 30th test.
CR 680
M 630 (same score as last year)
W 670
1980
Wow. Wrecked, just got rekt. GG m8s.
I couldn’t even break 2000, damn.
Subject tests are next month, hopefully I’ll do better on them. However, I will be removing some colleges off my choices.
The funny thing is, even if I had the choice to do the test again, I wouldn’t. I’ve grown quite the acute disdain for the SAT in general, and feel it’s gotten unnecessarily crueler over the past years.
(Yes, triple post. Shoot me.)
Regarding college choices… I found out earlier that my counselor accidentally submitted the “Final Report”, way before it was due, so apparently my college choices are “locked”. Or at least, according to her, I can’t add any more, just remove them. Hahaha, lovely xD
They are locked at: Cornell, Reed, Vassar, Hamilton and University of Rochester.
I ED’d at Vassar, but I’m seriously doubting I could get into any of those now. I’ve still got my undying winning smile and captivating story, so I’ll have to win their hearts with those.
Though I should say, congratulations to everyone on their scores! Some surprises, some disappointments, but but know that our applications are muuuuuch more than that number we received.
