I thought it was hard for what I was expecting for Math I.

it was VERY hard for a Math 1 test.

the hexagon was double the shaded triangle area
if you drew some lines it became evident

that hex one was 2sq6 i think im not sure

i thought it was 6 but i'm not sure.

the hex could have been divided into triangles like the ones around it

I thought it was 2sqrt3

I just divided the triangle area in 3, then multiplied by 2, then by 5.

Will the curve still be super harsh then?

what was the area for the shaded triangle in the hex?
it was just double that...

is the curve always the same?

no it always changes, but it's set before a test.

I've never taken the SATIIs before, but was this seriously harder than usual? Because if it was, I'd be more confident taking it again in December. I got almost all of the answers right (minus the like 12 problems I skipped). How much would that kill me on the curve?

you'd be around 650, and yes, this was harder than usual.

Yeah, this test was quite hard. I was always told that it was very similair to the SAT1 Math, but this test had trig, matricies, and all sorts of obscure material that would never be on the SAT. I just hope that the curve is generous. I think it will be judging by the amount of people who thought the test was hard.

does a good sat ii math 1 or math 2 score make up for a bad sat i math score?

Hey, thanks for the info! I would actually be ok with a 650... Heck, I've scored 620 and 580 on the SATI math...so this would be a strange improvement, but I think I'll still cancel and retake it in December. I don't feel so dumb now! Thanks guys!

so can we confirm the overlapping square question?

was it 1-x?

yes
i did it again at home

the triangle in the hexagon was just half the area of the hexagon right?

yes! ^^^^

i just multiplied it by 2.

curve predictions?
