I know this may have been asked a million times, but when is the exact time scores will be up on Collegeboard? I've heard 12 PM on Thursday, 8 AM on Friday, and everything in between.

They go up in batches. 12PM EST would on Thursday would be very early indeed. Earliest I have seen is 2:00PM EST Thursday; by 4:00 or 5:00 most scores seem to be up unless the collegeboard server has crashed. Some scores will not be up until Friday (the official date) or even later.

My scores have always been up by 4 PM Eastern time on Thursday.

except last time when cb's server blew. lol, i didnt get mine till 6AM friday.

6 AM Friday isn't too bad, although I admit I wouldn't have been thrilled about it. Some people are just now getting their scores.

I got my OCT scores on Thursday 12:00 noon.

I wonder if there's going to be server trouble again? Or do you think CB will take precautions to avoid that problem?

I don't think CB will mess up again.

I can't wait for the scores.

oh i bet they will mess up. they will never leArn, and probably are not willin to spend thousands of dollars to upgrade their network. i bet it will be the same as october-the server will crash...

personally, i find it funny how ****ed people get, i even saw an article about it. Like, trust me, I REALLY want to know my scores too, but Collegeboard doesn't even commit to having scores ready until Friday. In October I read an article about a family complaining that they couldn't get them on Thursday, but really they weren't even supposed to....it makes no sense lol. Even if they WERE supposed to be out, a few hours difference certainly does not constitute a riot...

Yeah, but they put everyone else's out, so it's easy to see where they're coming from.

It doesn't matter if they're not "supposed" to come out. If people are getting their scores early, then we all should. If CB isn't prepared to put them all out early, nobody's forcing them. The official date is, afterall as you said, friday.

mr_sanguine - I disagree. A big reason why they probably show the scores early is to issue them out in small doses. I can't imagine how they would be able to put ALL the scores up ALL at the same official time/date. Sure, a few people will get there scores early, but the majority can get there scores on the official date (there are exceptions-- some people still haven't received their writing scores from the last SAT).

I really hope that doesn't happen again...... that was sooooo annoying....

I can imagine them putting up all the scores at the same time, though. They use computers, honey. Scores aren't manually keyed; they go straight into the computer from the scoring machines. I think CB had meant to put all the scores up early, but they messed up. Clearly, the technicians at CB aren't the best there is, or CB is too frugal on their budget to get a new system. I agree with neelesh. I bet the website will crash again this Nov.

Surely they used this month to make at least a few improvements. Also, October had many more test takers than November. Thus, there should be less traffic to the site. The site hasn't crashed before (has it?), so I'm hoping November will be fine.

that's true that less people took the test in Nov. October is crunch priod, especially for seniors. Hopefully the site won't crash and we'll all be happy wiht our scores

hahaha ill b happy if the site crashes. i dont even want to look at my crappy scores

I had to wait till the wednesday after to get my scores :-/

can i get my scores now by calling in or something?? - doesn't matter if i have to pay money
