Anyone (or their kid) take the test this morning? I'm wondering how people felt about the difficulty. After the October test date people were posting right away about it being exceptionally tough.

I took it this morning. It seemed quite a bit harder than practice tests.

Yeah this one was easier than the past one i took in october, but the reading section was harder in this one.

I thought it was reasonable.

My son reports the same: math pretty easy, verbal moderate, reading hardest section. I was wondering how it compared to October.

He says he feels okay about it – guesses he scored somewhere less than perfect but better than good? Here’s hoping!

Ok so my S took the SSAT this morning and a problem occurred…looking for feedback on what to do!

In a nutshell, arrived at site at 8:35. Doors locked, banging on door, banging, banging, banging some more to no avail.
Drive around testing site to see if another entrance is even a possibility…nope
Return to front, bang bang again…nothing. Contact SSAT, tell them what’s going on. They state they will contact test proctor via phone and call me back.
15 minutes pass…
Individual comes to open locked doors, advises me that test began at 8:45. What? Test is supposed to begin at 9 according to admission ticket. My S is then allowed to take test but bc he “missed” writing section in the beginning, he takes it last. Proctor allows him appropriate amount of time in each area.
Ok…so here is the question. After complaining to SSAT, they offer me two options. 1-accept scores and move on OR 2-cancel scores, pretend like this never happened, and take December SSAT free of charge. We have to decide in 3 days!

He says he doesn’t know what to do and we think option 2 but unsure. He says math section was a breeze, reading was ok, verbal was terrible. HELP!

I posted the same Q in the parents section. My daughter thought it was better than the October test. She felt the Math was easier than the october test.

Daughter thought it was no harder than the practice test she took over the summer.

In my opinion, the test I took the reading/verbal were easy where easy. The math I ommited like 7 questions (total), the kid behind me in the test also said the math was hard so fingers crossed. I just pray I don’t get another score really close to 90 so I have to take december SSAT.

It wasn’t as hard as I had expected. Math was fairly hard, and the time restraints were annoying. Verbal was a breeze, but some analogies were tough. Reading was fine with only the occasionally confusing question. Overall, I feel confident enough. Let’s hope

My daughter thought it was much easier than the October test.

I think he should take it over. Being frazzled like that can really throw you off. Also, he now has practiced the actual test which is better than any practice test.

Kasha, yes how frazzling is that! We decided to go ahead and accept the scores and take it again in December. We will have to pay for December but really he was more than likely going to take it again in December anyway. Since he is so confident that he did really well on the math, I didn’t want to cancel them. But now we know to be at the test site at 8:15 just in case!

When should we get scores?

Stargirl3, the October test came out in 10 days…so I’m hoping by 11/19 we will have scores

I just got my scores back did anyone else??

My daughter got her scores.

Is everyone okay? My son did really really well, but I still feel like I’m going to barf from the stress.

My daughter screamed and danced the jig…she’s very happy. We both are!

I’m running around my house screaming like an idiot I’m so happy!!! I didn’t expect to do as well as I did, but it is DEFINITELY a good surprise. I’m so relieved this part is over, it was probably my biggest worry.
