November SAT and Early Decision

Hey you guys i have a question.
I want to apply early decision but i will be taking SAT I again in October and the SAT II in November. Early decision applications must be submitted in november, right?
Is it possible to still apply early decision and tell the university that i've given the november SAT II? Is it okay if they receive my scores directly during mid november? Is that possible?

…bump

bump again :(

I can’t tell which school you’re applying to. Different schools have different policies on this. If your scores really are in to the school by mid-November, even if the due date is, say, 1 October, then I would bet the school would agree to wait on your scores. But, every school sets their own policy on this. You also asked about early decision due dates – again, that depends entirely on the school. (The ED due date will definitely be on the college’s website.)

Just shoot an email to your admissions counselor at the school(s) you’re wondering about. They’ll answer your question. (Or you can pick up the phone and call him/her.)

Oh i want to apply early decision to Rice. Their deadline is November 1. The November SAT is on November 6th. So i’m assuming the scores will come out on November 20 something.

Oh i’m an international applicant. Maybe i can email them ?

I’m sorry. I’m so confused

Yes, you can email them. Rice can be slow to return emails. They’re actually kind of notorious for that during certain (more understandable) times of the year. I would think that this time of year would be a good time to get ahold of them. Good luck!

Hey one question. People who apply early decision have probably cleared all their SATs right?

and thank you :)

Yes, I would think so. Different schools handle late SAT score submissions differently. Some schools will not accept scores after the application deadlines. Other schools will accept scores that come in a little late. If you can’t find this answer on the Rice website (under FAQ’s maybe?), then I guess it’s another question you should ask Rice admissions when you contact them. For questions as important as this (you wouldn’t want your application to be thrown out because scores weren’t on time), you really should ask Rice admissions, or find it on their website, rather than trust somebody’s word for it here on CC. Even if the person telling you here on CC was right 1 or 2 years ago, that doesn’t necessarily mean Rice will have the same policy this year. I’d check with admissions for sure. Good luck!

Okay, thanks alot
