November SAT discussions (international)

one of the SCs was “guilt” and “compunction”

for one of hte sent comp
it described a lake, a bridge, and some other nature stuff.
was it luminous?

I chose “transient” for that one…

yeah the guilt and compunction

i thought the answer to al-something-blabla was sth like how she didn’t trust the scientist community b/c she says somewhere in the text how ridiculous it is

"pastoral"because it mentions “meadow” ,i think

not,it was pastoral (pastoral means related to the countryside)
luminous means ‘‘lighting’’

@Bilguun ,he wasnt bewildered
He told it as a sign of a contempt to a particular terminology (He expressed an opinion that he hated these words)

i think pastoral is right

i said pastoral for the lake, bridge wtv

could someone PLEASE tell me what the perplexing q was???

What were the passages?I forgot already…lol

Section 3:
Section 6: 2 Passages about Dinosaurs
Section 9: Indian programmer

was there malfeasance?

Math:
The question with containers A and B, 900 and 200 gallons respectively. The answer was 160.

There was hair-growing question. The initial length of her hair was 5.

The last question of one of the math questions with “a” and “a+b”. The answer was B. Something with absolutevalue(blabla)<5

11^325^349^3. The least prime was 5.

The question with two equilateral triangles. Find perimeters and find the difference. The answer was 6.

Volume of cuboid=144

The question with two triangles with common bases located on a line. The distance from the line to the point on a triangle was 40/3

The question with values. I think that both a and b were equal to 3x+7 so the answer was a=b.

The question with n(n-3)/2. The answer was 65.

The really easy question. x-2=1 what does x+2 equal? Answer was 5.

The answer with a line tangent to a circle. The arc had the length of one sixth of the circumference. The answer was 4*sqrt(3)

The question immediately before the grid-in part begins. It had a semi-colored circle and I think the area of the half of the circle was 8pi. We had to find the diameter. Mine turned out to be 4sqrt2

x could be 150,becoz then the remaining angle would be 210,210/3=70.So,therefore,p=70…this perfectly satisfies the condition…140<150<210
(Questioned. x and p were percentages?)

There was f(x) -1 when we shift the graph 3 unit down,

The question with f(a*b)=f(a)+(b). The answer was 24.

The number of all the people in the group was 12. (members+guests)

Easy question in the beginning parts of one section. The value of x+100=150

CR:
SC
perplexing, innuendo, mellifluous, unorthodox and antagonized, florid, commended and invited, pastoral (with rivers and a bridge), was able to recover from “malfeasance”, no guilt about leaving felt no compunction,

Passages:
Short passage with lions:
I put scientific observations for the second question of that passage, but I think it might have been anecdote.

Dinosaurs (science)pair passage
The woman in the second passage would respond to a the “we are not sure yet (sthng)” that it is important and beneficial?
In the passages with dinosaurs, the woman says “AL-something-blabla” because she emphasizes bewilderment?

Indian writer becoming a writer
“pulp” meant inferior type of literature
Question 23. I chose “appreciate challenges” for the writer passage too, but I think it’s wrong. dunno.

Passage about media and children
he accepted it but labeled it irrelevant?

Writing:
one of the questions had an answer with “whereby”?

scientist find the scientiffic explanation is ____ because of the frustrating result that turn out to be the opposite…

Nope, malfeasance means misconduct, but we want a word which means “selfishness” or “not spending money”

i think i answered malfeasance

malfeasanse is correct i think

not sure,then

no, I think the answer to the al blah blah dinosaur question is that because he couldn’t find enough interest to remember that phrase :-/
