November SAT II Lit. Scores

Got a 720. Is this considered a good score? It seems sort of low, especially considering that I got an 800 on CR in October.

I think a 720 is good! And it will help that you got the 800 too.
I think with the curve, the difference between a 720 and an 800 is like four or five questions. And with the questions being random stuff like whether the poem about fish was about the Egyptians' thirst or not...a lot of it is luck.
I got an 800 on the October too, and a 770 on the lit.

Don't worry about it. I got an 800 in CR and got a 720 in Lit. I know some people here at CC who got a 720 in CR but an 800 in Lit. The Lit test has a tendency to swing violently, IMHO, because a fair number of questions seem to have more than one correct answer. Guess well and you've got an 800. Otherwise, you're in the low 700s.

720 is fine.

I got a 780 on CR in may and a 740 in lit today.

I got a 760 in Lit, so I'm happy. If only I could do this well in math....

eh, 680. I'm not necessarily sure its anomalous, but I'll retake anyway in Jan. I doubt I'll do worse.

Extremely happy, as my US History scores were less than stellar...

how do you people do so well? I did AP lit last year and got a 4, but took SAT II lit and got a 600. Does my AP look much better?

i gotta 600 on lit too...really ****es me off, cuz i got a 750+ on my other subject tests

I got a 700 on my CR just a month ago.

does someone have an answer to my question of 4 in AP Lit vs. 600 in SAT II?

i got 710...an improvement of 10 pts lol (i guess i hoped for a miracle). and i thought this exam was a lot easier...does anyone think the curve was harsher?

ha! I got a 600, but then again, I didn't really study. Stupid three subject test rule for Princeton. I basically didn't have any other subject to take after us history and math level 2. Oh well...

i was convinced that i had improved upon the 690 that i recieved in October. i was dead wrong, ended up w/ a 600:(
im praying that since it's a third SAT II the colleges that require only 2 SAT II scores will overlook it.

Improvement from 620 in June which scares me because I haven't done any prep or had any more lit classes since then which pretty much throws the reliability of this test out of the window.

OMG!! I got a 600 on SAT II lit too. Stupid three SAT rule for Northwestern, Yale, Harvard, and Princeton. I got 770 on US history and 790 on Math IIC. AHHH!! ****ing college board! They have a monopoly on our future. Also, I am applying to schools that require 2 SAT IIs. I wanted to know if this will hurt my chances for admission for schools that only want 2 SAT II scores like Columbia and Brown, or will they not even look at my lit score like my consuler said. Please reply!!! I know that UC's only look at two highest score.

770 Lit. I retook a 760 since my parents wouldn't leave me alone. Believe me, I would have been happy with a 760. But now it just looks like I'm anal and wanted 10 pts higher. 800 in CR.

I feel bad for people whose parents force them to retake 760s...that kind of pushing must do some damage to a kid.

yep. damaged.

is the SAT II lit like the Eng Lit AP? Are they both like the CR?
