I think the curve will be relatively harsh. Cause its in November, curves are usually light in january and june.
I think my score will definitely range from
Math 660-710
Writing 630-750 ( yes its a huge range, but even in College boards blue book, the range varies a lot in writing. )
Reading ( my weakest section) - 580-630.
Overall score will in within - 1870- 2090
Mostly in the 1900s

@waseeza Do you know curves for december will be harsh or generous usually?

CR will probably be generous (consensus of unexpectedly difficult vocab). Math will be harsh (consensus that is was pretty easy - no challenging problems). Writing will be average.

@chrysanthemum14 Is there any reason math will be harsh since my s usually makes some careless mistakes on math?

@love2cheeses
If you check out the November 2014 SAT Thread the majority found that the math problems were really easy. With one problem being ambiguous (debatable). Other than that no problems were difficult. That’s why we think it will be harsh.

@Chrysanthemum14 I need the info for December from the past. D is signed up for December, but we are thinking maybe he should take January instead.

How does college board determine the curves?

@jpmac13 they determine the curves on what they evaluate to be the difficulty of the test. It really has nothing to do with the time of year or who takes it. The easier the test --> the harsher the curve and the harder the test --> the more lenient the curve.

@engineerof2016 ohhh ok that makes sense. Thanks!
