November SAT scores (ED)

I want to apply to NYU early decision, however I am retaking the SAT I's in November. I recently took a prep course over the summer, and judging from the practice tests, I can improve significantly from my March scores.. Will the november scores arrive in time? If I'm one of the first applications they see, can they change their mind once they see my Nov. SAT score (judging from the fact that many of you say SAT score and GPA is about all they judge you on)? Do ED applicants generally have lower stats than RD applicants?

I'd really like it if anyone knows someone who had the same dilemma and it was fine.

My GPA is okay.. I have a 3.8 uw/4.5w.

Thank you for all the input!!

If it's absolutely essential for your November test scores to be considered, apply RD.

It's not ABSOLUTELY essential, considering I do have scores from the spring.. but the nov. scores would help alot.. w/ applying ED no matter how high your gpa/courses are, will it utlimately be your SAT score that will determine if you get into the college you're applying to (CAS in my case) or GSP (considering you dont get rejected)? how much do essays/ecs have an affect on your app since the ed pool is a lot less than the rd pool.

Do any of you know someone who has had the same dilemma?

im doing the same thing you are...i jst took my SATs saturday and im taking my SAT IIs in november...my college counsler said it wouldnt be a problem so i guess they do see the scores...

the guy who came to my school told us that they cannot guarantee that they will see ur Nov scores for ED...and rushing them does nothing
