Hi, guys! I’m an ED applicant that took the November SAT. I improved quite a bit. The Brown website said you can send November scores, as long as you sent your previous scores. Has anyone else sent their November scores? According to my application status, they haven’t been received yet… Anyone else in the same boat?

I sent my Lit subject test scores. Did you click “rush scores”?

Hey konakoffee, I also took the November SAT; I just sent my scores directly to Brown when I registered for it, using the “Send Free Score Report” option. But melodicadinosaur is right; there’s definitely the option to “rush your scores” if necessary.

Hope I was at least a bit helpful :)

I also took the SAT II’s in November and applied Early Decision. I clicked “rush scores” and it got there in a day. Alot of money though!

I took the SAT II’s in November (Chemistry and Math II) and I applied Early Decision.

I also clicked rush reporting and it indicated on the collegeboard websute that the scores were sent on November 22nd 2013. However, my application status in Brown still shows that 2 of my SAT Subject test are still missing…

Should I worry or should I be patient and wait for a few more days as it’s almost December…I’m worried that my SAT II scores will be lost in the mail or something…

I took two SAT IIs in November and chose Brown as a receiver for all my scores. Everything was sent to Brown on the 19th. I didn’t rush the scores. And Brown updated my application summary page on the 22nd, marking my requirement as fulfilled.

I need help guys ! How can I send scores to colleges ; sry I am new here

@dancingwriter - wait I’m confused, you took the SAT II’s on November but you sent all the scores all at once…but the scores weren’t out until November 21st so it can’t be sent on the 19th…anyhow…I already emailed Brown and all they told me was that if it isn’t indicated on the application website that it’s still missing that means it’s still missing and that I should check it often…

I’m just scared my scores are lost in the mail…should i resend them? Although collegeboard did say that they sent it to Brown on November 22nd so I’m confused.

@fady2013 - you need to go to collegeboard and view your scores, after that there should be an option somewhere on the same page saying ‘send your scores’ and you have to choose the uni’s you want to send them to (usually you can type the name and you’ll find it) and then pay for it. There’s also the option of rush reporting it but only do it if it’s over the deadline/near the application decisions or else don’t rush report it as it’s really expensive.

To my knowledge, the scores are always sent two days before the official scores are out. That’s what a lot of people have been saying anyway. But this is, of course, assuming that you automatically sent the scores to Brown.

Mine were sent on the 22nd, still not registered on the Brown website, if that is any comfort. I’ll probably contact them if they aren’t online by the end of the week.

@raindroplet yeah it does thanks a lot for reassuring me At least now i know i’m not the only one who’s experiencing this problem…as I know if they don’t receive it by early december…my application may probably not be read in time…for a decision to be made…

@anniechan514 don’t think about it that way!! If things haven’t been updated by the end of the week, just contact Admissions, ok? Don’t stress–I promise it’ll be okay!

I actually have a related question: I sent other SAT scores (ones that I took before the November date) to Brown; my applicant portal says “RECEIVED Nov.4th.” But the thing is, I sent my new, November scores to Brown (on Nov. 19th, according to CollegeBoard) yet my portal still just says “RECEIVED Nov. 4th.”

Shouldn’t they say “RECEIVED Nov. 19/20th” by now? Or not?

I could just be freaking out over nothing, but I wanted to make sure. :)

You’re freaking out over nothing. They usually stop updating that portal once they have at least some stuff in.

Okay; thank you bruno14 :)

@bruno14 - do you mean even if you sent the November scores in they won’t update the portal since they have received all my other stuff? Or are you referring to ‘at least some stuff’ in each section?
@lovingBrown - i’m definitely gonna rush report the scores again if they don’t update the portal by Monday

They may not update the portal at all. Honestly, they’re too busy with actually making decisions now.

You mean they won’t even bother updating the portal even if the information had been sent? I emailed brown and they said if the status still indicates that that means they haven’t received it…which is kinda unexpected as all scores are sent electronically (as indicated in the Brown preferred sending method)…which eradicates any doubts that the scores are lost somewhere in the mail…

anniechan - There’s a difference between received and processed. They may well have the scores, but just haven’t posted them to your record yet. Why don’t you email or give them a call on Monday or Tuesday, and if they really don’t have them, ask them what they’d like you to do. My guess is that they’ll have them.

My November Subject test scores came late. I sent them in on Monday. It was “scores missing” on the Brown website for quite some time. But after about 4 days, it said, “Requirement fulfilled.” So the scores do take a few days in processing.
