November SAT

Sooooo, who's worried and who's ready? lol.

Hey people, I'm an international student and I'm taking the SAT for my 2nd time next Saturday and I'm freaking out!

I've been preparing since September and I feel semi-confident, but a bit nervous.

So I decided to create this thread for everyone, US or international, who is taking the SAT on the 5th of November to just talk about strategies, tips, fears, etc.

If you feel inclined to, then you can say your current score and what you hope to achieve.

I’m scared, it gonna be my first sat …

i suggest, warlands, that you continue working on your grammar.

@ warlands, i know what you mean I was super nervous when i took it for the first time, but the key is to try to get your nervous energy to help you.

Channel it so that it can help you stay focus and get psyched up for the SAT passages.

@questionsg, lol proper English is not a must in this forum

thanks DMA I’m kind of excited too I guess >.>

Lol I’m sorry, I knew someone was going to say something like that. (probably another grammar error x.x)

Haha i was just kidding.

I’m also an international student and the November SAT will be my first and final… I am quite excited about it actually :)

only 6 days left!!!

for the past 2 and a half months Collegeboard, Barron’s and McGraw Hill took the place of Youtube and late nights watching TV. sigh its all coming down to this one day.

I dont even know what to hope for lol! i dont want to hope for hard test just so the curve would be lenient or an easy test. I just wanna get 2000+

If youve worked that hard, DMA, then you should be aiming for a 2200, not a 2000+. First time?

nope this would be my 2nd time and I didn’t want to set my sights too high, was tryna be realistic.

first SAT:1850 so a 2200+ seemed like kind of a reach lol!

not true. My first time was similar to yours. 2nd time - 310 point increase.

wow! a 310 increase that’s amazing, i don’t even know what i’d do if i ever got that high of an increase ,well if it isn’t flagged by CB first lol.

But yea i dint want to really set to much of unrealistic goal so i just settled for a modest 2000+ but in practice tests i’ve been scoring 2050+ so i’m hoping i get somewhere around that on SAT.

I am very scared. In all honesty, I wish I didn’t put myself into such a position where I am having to cram for the SATs. Instead of cramming this much into this one week, I should have created a routine for myself to improve.

Anyways I am trying to increase from a 1920 to a 2200.
280 Point Increase.
Created myself a schedule which has a ‘slight’ problem to it towards the end…

Good luck to everyone. I’m from the Middle East, so I’ll be taking the SAT on the 19th.

@ZealousWonder yea i saw your plan and i’m really inspired by it! i’m going to try and set-up something like that for my week.

I’ve read a lot of posts about persons getting an increase of 150 -200 points with just 1 week of SAT prep, so it would seem that its not impossible. You currently have very good score so if you make the effort this week then i’m sure you’ll see a a huge raise.

honestly, DMA, i did badly on my barrons practice tests. 2100s. on the test, 2270. Anythings possible. Including the cliche that is my SAT score.

hahaha! yea that’s what I’m hoping happens for me; go in there expecting 2000+ and end up getting 2200.

Good luck yall. I’m from portugal, taking the sat for the first time
I’ve been preparing since…well…since i october 1st :stuck_out_tongue:
BB and Barron’s FTW, 2200+ let’s go!

Good luck to you too Tiago!!

2 more days!!! hopefully this is the last time i’m taking the SAT
