I took the SAT's in november...if I send in my application now will they look at my November scores if I have it down that I took them? How does it work? Will they not review my application until they get those scores...so if I send in my application now or two weeks from now it wouldn't make a difference? I'm confused, someone help.

If you've ever taken the SAT before, you should send in those scores now along with your app, and then send in your November scores after they come in. Michigan says you can send in multiple testing scores, so if you send in scores while your app is being reviewed, they'll review those too. Its better to just get everything in first even if your previous scores are bad.

Yeah I sent them my old scores and now am waiting for my November scores...and probably going to take the ACT in december

My old SAT scores are really bad though (1210)...

If you have not sent in your application yet, indicate all of the dates that you took the test and are going to take the tests. When I attended a meeting with the admissions counselors, they told me to state that I was going to take the SATII in December in case they may want to hold your application if it can be beneficial to making a decision in your favor.

Okay, I did that for SAT II's, ACT, and the November SAT - i'm finishing up my application now and going to send it in by Monday/Tuesday at latest.

Thats good they definately told me to do so. I wouldn't wait much longer to send in your application, although I am not sure of your creds, it gets harder and harder as the days go by, especially in the month of November. The Adm con for our entering class said that you should probably send it in prior to Nov 1st just because of the time it takes them to process your application and add everything to your file could take a few weeks before it is even reviewed. She also said that if you chose UMich to have your scores automatically sent to on your tests, that they usually get them before you get your copy at home.

Thanks for the advice! I'm definitely sending it in ASAP. I have a 3.6 UW gpa and 1210 (as of now).

As of now, Michigan is a reach. Get as high a score on the SAT as possible!

I took it in November (3rd time) and I'm sure my math score went up, so my highest composite scores will be around 1260ish.

Yeah, I really don't know. That puts you in the lower half of attending students, so I'd try it again (Try the ACT too, my ACT scores were much better than SAT). But you never know, you have 0% chance of getting in if you don't apply.

They don't reject applicants until April right? So if I take the ACT's in December and score well and send them in it will be considered?

LOL I got a 1210 on the SAT. I got a 29 on the ACT (do a little dance)

A2Wolves...when did you apply and what was your GPA?

i got in w/ a low act score before my oct act even got sent to mich

A2Wolves, and are you OOS or IS?

Whoa, guys, i'm a senior. I'm just from Ann Arbor.

I haven't received a decision yet.
