November Score For Ed?

Hey guys, I want to apply ED for Brown this year, but I just realize that I don’t have enough time for it coz i’ve only done a SATII CHEM so far.(which, I plan to retake in October for I only got a depressing 730 ).

So here’s my plan:
OCTOBER:SATII MATH2 +CHEM(RETAKE)
NOVEMBER:SAT REASONING

Does Brown accept noverber scores for ED???

Do you guys think that it’s possible to get over 2200 on SATI for the first time?

thanks you :)

I don't have an answer to your primary question, but I can tell you that it is possible to get over 2200 the first time.
I got a 2230 [I'll be retaking in Oct.] from doing hardcore studying for a week or two.

Retaking a 730 Chemistry SAT II is pointless. Getting 20 or 30 more points will not do anything for your application. A 730 demonstrates that you know your ****...no need to do more. Prospective students get so caught up in test scores that they fail to realize when to stop and focus on more important aspects. Focus on essays and other important personal factors. Good luck.

I agree that you should not retake the Chem SAT II -- 730 is a good score.

According to this (Brown Admission: Important Dates) you can submit scores from the November test.

That's a good question- mostly because even I was wondering about it. The link above doesn't say that Brown takes in November test scores. It just states the dates for the various application deadlines.
So, anyone who knows without a doubt whether Brown takes November test scores or not?

Brown will take the November test scores. The deadlines posted are primarily for the students to be certain to get their ED stuff in. Schools know that students may still take some standardized tests in November, and that's fine. That's what the web site deadlines say. Just be certain to tell the test companies (College Board and/or ACT) to submit the scores to the colleges when you fill out the bubbles on the answer sheet on the test date.

hirokee, if you read the link then you would have seen that it was clear that the Nov. test scores are accepted for ED and the January scores for regular decision.

Besides the fact that it is a very poor decision to wait until October or November of senior year to take the SATI for the first time, there's no reason to retake an SATII on which you've scored over 700.

I know, but I just had the idea of going to univ in the states this year. If i didn't make, I'll probly go to Univ of Toronto :(
